Is Rex's firepower more important than Mira's bag of tricks, door control not being an issue? Greater Mobile would be useful, but Force Sense against SS? I'm stuck ….

Mira's door control is very valuable. So is Rex's commander effect. If you're just talking pure firepower and not using either of those two things, probably a toss-up. Add in Force Sense and other tricks, plus a lower cost... Mira.
