If I give Reylo Savage with Watto, do they become subject to CE that specify Savage characters are subject to them?

I only ask because, Anarchists says they are not subject to CE...

But so does the sa DROID.

Droids are subject to CE when a CE specifies it is.

I know no Droids have Anarchist, and I was wondering the interaction of it.

So if I gave Reylo Savage, does that over rule having Anarchist, and can they be subject to CE that say "Savage characters are subject to this CE"

I feel like they should be... Because the CE specifies that they are.

Might be worth further analysis, but off-the-cuff, I would rule that an SA that makes a character not subject to CEs cannot be overridden by a CE without a 'subject to' clause that specifies that SA directly. (that's how it works everywhere else I can think of).

On the other hand, they also suppress all CEs within a 6 square bubble (including themselves - akin to Disruptive, or tangentially Ysalimiri) so I don't see how they could ever benefit even if they did gain Savage.

Predates my tenure as rules-guy, but I was in on QC when Anarchist debuted, and I'm pretty sure that was the intent, though I don't recall discussing it specifically. (was a long time ago) I'll look into it but I don't expect to find any 'evidence' contradictory to what I detailed above.

ps I wrote the glossary, so if it needs to be clarified one way or the other, that's on me by default, lol.

I truly hope I never again have to revisit the horror that was v-set 5 QC. (I won't go into specifics)

Confirming, as I stated above, intent was that having the Anarchist SA means that character cannot use CEs, period. (plus the suppression bits)

Kaliyo Djannis's design lead wrote:
Intent is, she is immune to CEs.

My glossary text: (and emphasis)
Quote:
A character with this ability is not subject to any commander effects. This character suppresses commander effects of enemies and allies alike within 6 squares. (also see Disruptive)

I can easily fix that glossary wording up to be more clear, but that's the jist.
