Currently there are 1825 characters in our awesome game, most major characters are represented and possibilities are near limitless. But as most long-time players know, not all minis are created equally. And it's harder for newer players to be able to figure out the best combos. I remember save11 came out with a great starter guide which is a place to start and that's fantastic. But in my area we often have new players jumping into a tournament that only want to manage one or two types of pieces while they learn the mechanics of the game. So my challenge for you is to create a competitive squad using only one type of non-unique to fill out a 200 point squad. Which non-unique is the best on its own and enmasse, able to be competitive without support and thus a good starting point for new players? Extra points for posting multiple faction ideas!

Awesome Juice this is exactly what I'm after! I somehow missed that Shock Trooper entirely. But he has good door control, armour, and anti-super stealth. Nice stuff!

so, the idea is a squad of all the same non-unique characters? can we add 1 commander, unique, or not to the squad or would that blow our collective minds?  otherwise, I'd go with 66.667 Uggy Demos! plenty of door control there!

The goal for this exercise is strictly one piece, but the one piece with a commander is a good idea for another challenge. But here it's something super easy that a new player can pick up and go here, they are all the same

I don't think you can build anything competitive using just one character. You can make quite a few squads that aren't too bad, but in the end having some commanders or synergy providers is imperative.
