Worst:
#1 Emperor Palpatine #2 Grand Moff Tarkin #3 Darth Vader #4 Chancellor Valorum (he was mostly ineffective, rather than actually evil)
Best:
??? Have there been any good ones?
This is still a Star Wars - centric board, right?

well I think Mon Mothma, General Dodanna, and Wedge Antillies were all above average leaders.

Dr. Destructo, you are correct... I easily forget the rebel leaders... I often think of the heroes, but the leaders were more subtle, thoughtful people... (Wedge, for instance, in the Legacy books, was terrific...)

I can't believe no one mentioned Rieekan!
My favourite leaders from my country (NZ) are:
John Key Graham Henry ( they're allowed to be rugby coaches aren't they?) Brad Dring ( actually he's a musician, but influential none the less) Rhys Darby ( ok, ok, he's a comedian/actor) Dan from Kingston ( technically he's a band leader) Jim the weather man from one news
I haven't got a worst list because that's just mean... Na, just kidding here it is:
Helen Clark Michael Cullen

Well i think it's pretty clear defender is a republican LOL. I'd have to say George Washingon, the father to our county. I think he had a cool hair style, plus he saved America. Good Man, as for worse, i don't really have one.

Yea that looks fairly obvious I know I would disagree with the list. It depends on what your opinion of good and bad is. I think that highly depends on your beliefs and your class in society. As for Star Wars I think Yoda is a great leader in the CW series. He shows he cares for each trooper. Grievous on the other hand doesn't mind knocking off the head of a battle droid when in a bad mood

Oh come on... If I were around the battle droids, I'd knock their heads off... Obnoxious, worthless little buggers...

Best Star Wars Leader is hands down Mandalore the Ultimate. The Mandalorians are like the spartans of star wars. Honestly who else beside the mandalorians, have absolutly no force powers, and threw sheer technique and power almost controled the entire galaxy. (blasted that Revan) Or Boba Fett, because who better to have leader you. Then the best killer in the galaxy? Boba Fett and Mandalore the Ultimate in my opinion.

My Favorite Leader, hand's down is Darth Revan... his tactical prowess on handing both sides of any situation (whether it's Mandalorians vs the Republic (aka Old Republic), or Jedi's vs Sith) makes him a fearless leader, very calm, cold and collected. He single-handedly defeated Mandalore the Ultimate with honor with no cheap shots, thus putting an end to the Mandalorian Wars. A fearless leader, that has a clear mind, allowing him to scope out the real situation without recklessness... he knows the threats and knows how to weaken them. In a perspective, he is the only one that brought peace to the galaxy

FOR MANDALORE!! as far as real leaders go, they all sucked, they all suck and they will suck in the future. this isnt knocking republicans, democrats or people on the fence. if you guys want to claim a sect, thats all you. me? i could care less about anyone who leads this country. i can see why we are hated in alot of countries, but in some, i cant understand it. no matter what happens in office, we are always going to hold our breathes wondering what the crap is going to happen next. health reform? really?! we have had a ton of soldiers that have died in the name of oil. (Thanx Bush, awesome mess to clean up.). politics are big business these days, so dont think that your vote for a leader amounts to anything, because when that new screw head gets in office, he doesnt work for you, he works for Don Juan Dollar bill. just ask G.W and Haliburton.

Correct. There is a HUGE difference between the two.

I will refrain from listing any US preferred and non preferred leaders because I think that this thread might be treading on dangerous ground. It could only be a matter of time before someone sees someone else's picks for best and worst leaders, and gets p****d off. Then they start arguing and being mean and the other person responds back being just as mean, and we see a similar thread go bad just like the threads on the "Piece that must not be named".

Like I said it is all a matter of opinion based upon many things. I can name many who would say Reagan sucked and many right now that love Obama. History is always written from the point of view of the historian. The real history is having lived it.
