--StarBuck--

51 Yoda on Kybuck
16 Queen Amidala
70 Star Corps Trooper x5
9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid
3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

(149pts, 9 activations)

Star Corps Troopers with Mobile Attack and hopefully Squad Firepower. Yobuck does what he does best.

Does anyone think Star Corps Troopers can be competitive? Mainly at the 150pt level.

I like. I have to admit, however. At first I thought this was a BSG theme squad...

This squad is either clearly good, or bad as it has 30 views and only 1 comment?

Anyone?

i like it, i also thinks its competitive for a 150 pt. squad.
you obviously have more Luck with Yobuck then i do, cuz whenever i use galloping attack, the AoOs always deplete me. so i will stick with ever so fun STRAFE!!Drool

Thanks for the comment Mandalore.

Yobuck requires a slight learning curve to perform well with. You have to prioritize your Galloping Attack targets. That can be difficult at times.

I also enjoy using Strafe. Mostly with the Basalisk War Droid!!!!! Twin Strafe for 30dmg each with an extra Twin at the end is so much fun!!!!

I also enjoy cracking jokes the whole time I use it... Since it looks like a lobster and all.

Fear my Mandalorian riding a flying war lobster!!!!

thats the trick with Yobuck, and my opponents will always set up well against it.
for me, hes awesome for killing suckers with 20 hp or less, then hes a death magnet for all intensive purposes.

Im using that "Flying war Lobster" By the way, its too funny.
my Mandos from The BH set are all painted red too (thats what i do when i am bored, mod my Mandos) so its even more fitting!!
Thanx!ThumbsUp

It is always more difficult to play an opponent who is familiar with Yobuck. They tend to spread out better and use intereference better than the average player who has only played against Yobuck a couple of times.

It's also important to have a 'Yobuck Friendly' map when fielding him. I always try and use ROTS Starship (Hard Map) when using him. A good map can make Yobuck twice as effective. With nowehere to run or hide, Yobuck can traverse the map and select targets at will.

Lol. Red Mandos? Sweet. Are they a metalic red? Or a bright red?

Yeah, it is pretty funny considering it really does look like a lobster. With the tail and little legs and such. Lol.

Anyway... while we are on the topic? Do you have? Or know anyone willing to trade away some Star Corps Troopers? I need as many as I can get. I'll trade Mandos for them!!!!

I have extra Scouts and Captains....

Good luck LandShark. The last time I checked, single SCTs were going for about 5 bucks. That is way too much for an UC in my mind. You will have to trade A LOT to get those troopers. BTW, I am not willing to trade any, as I only have 2.

Wow really? 5 dollars for a UC? That's kind of absurd. They must be a lot more popular than I realized because I never see them get used where I play. (LGS and on Vassal)

I have 5 Star Corps Troopers, which influenced me to make this build, and others like it.

I want 5 more. Hopefully I can trade for them, if not i'll probably end up paying the steep price

i just traded 6 star corps troops for 8 RakghoulsScared
the ebay listings for Star Corps troops are ranging between $2.50-$5.00 a piece.
$5 beans is absurd for a UC, especially if theres about 20 rares out there going for $3!!

my Mandos are painted metallic red with black dots. "Sith Hound Squad"
ive recently painted my commandos the same colors as Bendack Starkiller from KoToR....metallic orange and gold.
my other Basalisks are painted Dark Angels Green, and are moded with extra Canons (to signify a Possible twin att.)
and all of my super commandos have their original sniper rifles removed, and have Warhammer 40k sniper rifles moded in their hands instead. if yer gonna do big damage, may as well have a bigger gun to do it with!!ThumbsUp
