Since ive been playing ive always seen squads built to where if you are going to swap you swap a melee piece that can do a lot of damage. This idea works great. It takes away one of the biggest weaknesses of melee pieces, THEY ARE SLOW AND HAVE TO BE AJACENT. So the idea works well. what id like know is why no one seems to like to swap shooters. ive seen a few people do it. Bill has a Nym swap team thats pretty interestingcheck that one out, and ive seen a lightning swap team but still no shooter swap. Ive recently came up with a squad i havenet seen before here it is:
58 Boba, Merc 32 Thrawn 31 Arica 10 Massif 8 Mas 5 Caamasi Noble 3 ugg 3 ugg
This squad allows you to position boba anywhere on the map and draw some pretty cool angles ive also tried it without arica + Lobot for more swap fodder they both work its just whatever your pref is.
I think with deri winning with his smug han levitation group something like this may be seen a little more. You can attack from basicly anywhere on the map there is no safe place to hide from boba cause your only a swap and intuition away from anywhere.
So what does everyone think about the concept of shooter swap? What do you guys think of the squad?

I've always like beefy shooter swaps, but I never thought of using Boba Merc WITH Thrawn. That's evil...

Ya ive been trying it out on vassal it is nasty of course ive been screwed by Master Tactition a few times :) but you can get anywhere on the map and do tons of damage without having to base its nasty.

If you choose Death Star as your map, this build is a winner.

if you want some more speed, you could use a swoop speeder, and he's got ranged attack. (not that he'll hit much if you DO attack with him.

I have great success with Thrawn and Boba swap. I swap boba in LOS at the end of a round and let him get his oppurtunist, then win with MT and he has cunning to either take two more shots or 1 and run. I will try and find the squad I bulit with that combo.
