i dont see why you couldnt, as Galloping attack doesnt replace your turn, its as that character moves.
but, i have been known to be wrong, alot.
im interested in the answer, because id like to know if Ulic is on a Mandalore the Ult. squad, after he moves the 12 for charging fire, could he move an extra 6 for master speed and then make an attack?
but Durgeys question was first....

My understanding is that Yobuck can use Master Speed with Gallop. All MS does is add 6 squares to the maximum numbers of squares He may move in a turn. As Yobuck moves, he can attack each character he moves adjacent to. Its also my understanding that Yobuck can move up to double his speed (20) + master speed (6). 26 squares of galloping is a lot of damage. Woot

Yes you are able to use Master Speed on Galoping attack. Galloping attack states you can make an attack for each adjacent enemy as your moving. It doesnt replace attack or turn its just an ability you can use on your turn. Master speed just allows you to add extra movement to your figure on its turn. So as using master speed them extra six squares your still able to use galloping attack with them fore it extends the amount of squares you can move on your turn.

Also strafe would work the same if you were to have Ani on Stap & are strafeing on his turn, if you were to spend a force point to move 2 extra squares as part of your turn, then two extra squares you would be able to strafe with also as your just extending the amount of squares in your movement & those abilities state that you may attack each enemy you pass on your turn.,

Yup. On top of that, you can use Master Speed and go another 6 squares for a grand total of 26 and take a swing at anything you move next to. ThumbsUp

Only problem with galloping doesnt it cause AOO's when you use it each figure you pass?

Since I don't see Flight anywhere on the card, he sure does provoke AoO's.

apparently there's a way to use tow-cable with R2 on Yobuck, and he can hit things as R2 moves.... that's what I've heard, though there may be some changes to rules...

Unless its changed recently, strafe and gallop were ruled to only work during the character's turn that has gallup or strafe. In other words, characters can get towed, but they don't strafe/gallop along the way.

Saber1 is correct. Strafe and Gallop have been errata's to only work on that character's turn.

Mainly because it was a very powerful combo that a lot of people where complaining about. Before the rule change about Strafe Attack and Galloping Attack came out, anyone with 40 HP or less was pretty much screwed when R2 Astro and Yobuck where in the fight. On top of that, Yobuck would be able to move to a spot where you couldn't get at him, or make it difficult at best.

But now you don't have to worry about that. You would be suprised to see how much less Yobuck was played when the rule update came that changed the interaction with Galloping Attack.

Sincerely,
Jester007

Actually, it had nothing to do with the power of the combo of Tow. It lead to some very odd (and even more powerful) situations. Where is the path spelled out for Lift? In theory, since the path isn't spelled out like Tow Cable, you could move over the entire board, getting Strafe/Gallop, since Lift is considered movement.

Yeah, that was big. Getting towed, Yobuck gained Flight. It was just totally broken. He's still a beast unless you're crazy enough to gallop power pieces with twin, riposte, djem so etc.

Hardly. It was powerful yes, but like I said, there were unintended interactions, that quite honestly, really didn't come to light till CW came out. I don't know, but in my games, R2 never survives long enough for him to be able to do such things.

Haha, well I didn't say it was easy to pull off, just that the combo was totally broken. I suppose "broken" tends to mean very easily abused rather than the way I intended it (just really wrong). I saw it happen a couple times right after it became known, but you are right that it was never a huge problem. "Big" was a poor word choice Wink

Make no mistake, there was a broken interaction in there, but, it wasn't Tow Cable, imo. There were a few opinions that thought it was what made him playable, though eventually proven wrong.

I totally agree - Tow Cable was not the issue, IMO it was the wording of Gallop/Strafe and the resulting interaction with Tow...
