I am confused, like a noob, by Recon and the wording in the glossary...
If any character in the same squad with this special ability (including this character) has line of sight to an enemy, you can roll twice when making an initiative check and take either result. If you end up tied for initiative, both players reroll (you can use Recon to roll twice on the reroll). You can do this only once, regardless of the number of characters with Recon in your squad
When it say 'any character...' does it only mean those with Recon? Or if anyone at all in a squad with say Rieekan, has a LoS to the enemy you get Recon?

Yea i always been confused with recon myself & ill admitt when i dont know something, now if you only have 1 character in your squad with recon, does that mean you cant use it? Lets say i have Lobot CLO & noone else in my squad with recon, can lobot still use recon if he has LOS to an enemy or do you have to have a minimum of 2 characters with it?thanx

Only one character is needed for recon.
The wording is the way it is so that if you happen to have 2 characters with recon, you still only get the one additional die roll, not one for each character with recon.

2 Recon special abilities do not stack.... if 2 characters having Recon special ability have LoS to an enemy, you declare which character using Recon, then Recon special ability is checked and you roll 2 dice only during initiative.
