Hi everyone thanks for letting me join. I have been a casual player since the beginning playing on an off with a couple of friends and family. I mostly play with the little guys stormtroopers, or clone/rebel troops with a hero or villain leading the said groups. I read somewhere that there was a formula in which you can create your own figures. I want to add a role playing aspect to the game where the characters can "level up" between games adding special abilities or increasing their attack or defense attributes. So hopefully someone point me the way to this magic formula? Thanks in advance!!! Doug Hawes.

Hey Doug! You would be looking for the Star Wars Miniatures Campaign Edition (SWM (CE)). I believe it was originally made by the fans. My friends and I have played several campaigns and it's fun when you get to make up your own story! Here's the link to the basic rules packet: https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/read/35910286/swmce-atlanta-star-wars-gamersI have more resources from back in the day, but I'm not sure where they went to on the web. Here's an old Forum discussion that might be useful: http://www.bloomilk.com/forums/default.aspx?g=posts&t=12592It's pretty straightforward (way simpler than DND) but keep asking questions! GBC

GBC listed the resources already but I can attest that the CE is a ton of fun, but really needs someone to do the bookkeeping and run the campaign for the others. Kind of an early Imperial Assault before they was cool. Except with miniatures there is way way more options, pieces, timelines and maps/tiles.

Here is my mashup of SWM:CE https://www.dropbox.com/s/t90kubsy2lhc1sk/SWM.CE.pdf?dl=0I'm also working on a new version which is a bit different. It's still being worked out. Have a gander: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lobf8hvngd6s8ab/Star%20Wars%20Adventure%20Gaming.pdf?dl=0It adds in Xwing and some RPG elements. We're testing it and playing it at the same time.
