http://swmgamers.com/SWM/V-Sets/V-set%20Designers.htmlOver at that link there's a list of all the designers on all the Vsets. I also listed a handful of pieces for each set so that people can more easily remember which set was which. I will soon update it to include Set 17 - should have done that a while ago. But what pieces do you think are significant and/or memorable enough to be listed there? I won't be listing any of the subset pieces since the subset title itself (Solo) serves as a good enough reminder of what's in the set.

I'd add Darth Tenebrous, Rianna Saren & Zeeo, and Iden Versio ISC to those two.

Wait how did Grievous Wheelbike and Durge not get onto the vset 6 list haha.
But for this set Riana Saren and Zeeo and Darth Ten for sure.

Nothing in Set 17 will have a lasting impact on the meta imo. It will go through the regional Tier 1.5 season and be played and then not really played much after that. I think it has some pieces in Eelysa and Tenebrous and I enjoy the Craddosk as well. All great designs imo.
I just don't see how they can beat Tier 1 things at all.
I am curious about the Dr. Aphra and depending on she plays might think she can do well. The 7 attack but for 20 damage was pretty genius and might be her saving grace. She will need to stick a little damage. Was she ever paired with Queen Amanoa? Might be fun. I am tinkering with my Vassal Squads and thats the only thing I can think of that might work well. That way you can stop one from moving (Thrawn usually has 2 attackers correct?) one can be Aphra'd and then Thrawn can be Amanoa'd. might make them a tad more predictable? curious about that.

I just don't see how they can beat Tier 1 things at all I agree with this- to me the most remarkable thing about the set is its lack of power level 9-10 characters. I think the designers are trying very hard to slowly build up different squad types, leaving room for future design to make builds closer to tier 1. A good example of this is the Imperial Super Commando- when it came out in set 14 it was pretty much useless and no one would ever play it. In this set, it got access to Overload, making it better, though still not all that good. In a future set it'll get more help, and though it might not ever get to tier 1, it will be decent enough to be played at a tournament. From what I understand designers are trying to avoid squad types jumping straight to tier 1 like Krennic/Death Troopers did, so things don't need errata or hamper future design. The other major reason why the set hasn't affected the meta, however, is a shortage of playtesting. They sort of have to nerf the designs if they haven't got enough playtests by the deadline. Which is why we need more playtesters.

That's where we are on set 18 right now. About half the set is done. We're in PT on the rest. Come join us.
