Let's keep the momentum going. I know many of us are still out of work, and while I still have to work, I'm off Saturday. This Saturday at 3pm Eastern time I will host a 500pt Epic Skirmish event. The rules are as listed. 1. Maximum of 16 activations including reserves/reinforcements 2. Your squad must include exactly one epic miniature from Epic Sets 1, 2, or 3. 3. You may not decrease the number of activations in a phase but you may increase as permitted by the character providing the form of activation control. 4. Bastila's ABM is active only for the round it is turned on. If I'm missing anything Tint let me know. I dont want to limit CEs which I know is a variant people have played. 5. Gambit is 25 points and must be scored by a 25point piece or higher. 6. Based on recommendations the 8th Cortex Shaper is not legal for this. 7. 90 minute rounds after setup. Needing 500 for a 3pt win, 250 for a 1 point loss. I know when I've played I have been able to finish in 90 minutes. Time limit? (games rarely finish in an hour)
(related to above) what constitutes a 1pt loss or a 3pt win? (Since games rarely finish, I have played that winning with 300pts or more gets you the 3pt win, and losing but scoring 150 gets you 1pt)
How much is gambit worth? (everyone agreed 50 was too much at Frosty con many years ago. 25 and 30 have both been done and seem better)
I have also seen where only Epics can score gambit
In addition to the rule you listed about Bastila, I have also seen that she starts with only 2 force points.

Additionally -
I would recommend banning the 8th cortex shaper. Vong just gets exponentially stupid at 500, and the Force (mostly) doesn’t effect them. Mega NPE potential.

Thank you! As one of the designers of the piece, I can say that we purposefully pushed the limits to get unique Vong good, and specifically scaled it to 200pts. But we knew it would go from good to insane the more points scaled up. Look at this pile o' ridiculousness. Epic 8th Cortex INSANITY!!!It would be no fun for anyone! I'd have to spend 5 minutes every time something died just to figure out all the things that happen!

Good recommendation re. banning the piece; at a 500 point format, the sheer amount of things going on there might make minis feel like chores, LOL
