this is my Squad for Cad Bane to run

http://www.bloomilk.com/squads/View.aspx?ID=58310

199 points at 16 activations.

Cad would have Super Stealth From Nyna, a +20 to attack a Unique (thanks to Thrawns Opportinist.) and greater mobile. He will essentially be able to come out of cover 2 squares and hit for 120 HP (thanx again Thrawn for that Opportunist) on a Double Twin, then move 4 squares back into cover.
The Shadow Stormies can easily Hit at +16 (careful shot and Opportunist) for 40 damage (thanx to Nyna and Thrawns CE), all the while having Super stealth.
The Scout Troopers are good for SS and hitting for 20-30 damage given the right circumstances. the ewoks are swap bait for thrawn, and have SS, they could hit an enemy for 20-30 dam, given the right circumstances as well.
Dont even get me started with the uggies.....
Ozzel will make sure that Opportunist is in effect, when the opponent has no one left to activate.
The Camaasi is in your Gambit Zone eating your points, and cant be targeted because you cant target the SS characters.
His Reserves would be another Shadow Storm Trooper with an RA-7 Protocol droid.
tell me what you think!

I'll comment.

Looks pretty brutal. A good example of how to run Cad effectively. Good work MDB! :D

Cad Bane is going to destroy in this kind of squad. He and the Storm Commandos will likely be effective together (Cad as a mobile shooter, SCs to sit and fire away). Old Xizor would make the squad really good, but what you woul have to drop to get him isn't worth it, IMO.

On suggestion, though: You may want to consider using a Caamasi instead of Imp Dig, because the Caamasi (with Thrawn's Oppo) would be able to shoot. Nice squad!

I likeit. I would swap out the Shadow Stormtroopers for Kel Dors BH''s. Super stealth Self Destruct could be deadly and high attacks make them deadly. I prefer to do 150pt armies but this looks solid for 200pt.

This is what i would suggest for a 150pt

Cad Bane 54
Thrawn 32
Moff Calix 18
Kel dor BH 13
Kel dor BH 13
Admiral ozzel 11
Ugnaught demo 3
Ugnaught demo 3
Ugnaught demo 3

9 activations, 150 pts

I thought about Keldors, but i would have to rely on them hitting a Unigue to get that +20, for possible 30 damage. atleast with the Shadows, i know i can get atleast 40 damage against an enemy with stealth. the self destruct is fun and devastating, but sometimes hard to get of, depending on how your opponent has set up and what they are pulling out.
ill take out one Shadow and place in a Keldor, just to say that i have atleast tried it though, thanks for the suggestion Ack.

What happens when your opponent kills Cad? He only has 80hps. I've used Cade in similar builds, and I really don't see how this will work in any significant fashion. SS Cad is an obvious idea, but this isn't the build for it.

cade wouldnt get SS, and Cad will will hit for +20 at 30 4 times, moving in and out of cover, avoiding being a target. then to be more obnoxious with Cad, he would get swapped in and out. the trick is playing him properly, so he doesnt get killed, and this squad, or any squad that would grant SS, would be the best build for him.(Thrawn swapping is just the deal sweetener) but thats just my opinion, and i appreciate yours.

Mando, the point is, "Superstealth" is pretty uneccessary. He already has stealth and evade. Spend the points on Nyna to work in a secondary beatstick of some sort. I like Vader Unleashed or Vader Scorge for these shooter swap squads. It's why I mentioned my Cade squads. You also forgot that why I don't have stealth, only accurate shooters can attack my Cade for most of the game, and that I have 120hps, plus heal 40. I consider that to be equal to 80hps with SS. The difference is, people can't easily kill Cade in two activations. Cad will get killed that easily. I also have a beat to stick in front if someone charges Cade, what do you have? A Kel Dor? Not likely to slow them down.

Think for example of towing Rex. If Cad is within 18 squares of R2/Rex, he's likely dead. Squads with Anakin on Stap can do the same thing. Yodabuck might not kill him on the first go, but it sure won't take long, and Cad won't be killing Yoda in return.

I predict Cad will be over used, and over loved, and most people will lose with him.

I agree with bill. Your support isnt good enough. Cad Bane is a support shooter not your main weapon with only 80 hps. You need to run a good swarm like 181st or a good beat in a vader. In the squad you have posted once Cad is dead the squad is done for. He only has 80 hps. You have one good shooter and ozzel all I have to do is strike at you mid round taking your counter attack to me out of the way since you will have to do 2 to swap. I have to make cad move more than 6 when I strike so I dont have to worry about him either.

Although you would have to change the squad up a lot, getting Vader, Legacy of the Force in there could be brutal. I also agree that Cad as more of a support shooter for a beat will be better than him as the main offensive weapon.

you guys are right. he is a support piece, and with no Beat, the squad falls short of the W.
Tow cable with Rex would mess Cads world up tremendously. i do see Cad being over used aswell, but his ability to get SS, to me is the best thing about him, especially when GMAing.
i have to get that Vader that grants allies extra attack, so i could get a Trip/twin, and potentially hit for 240 damage.
if used right, Cad can be a force. but i too see him being used poorly.
thats not saying that this a bad squad for him, but it is a start.
