"Yoda's friends throw their toys""Rex's ERCs"ATTA/RoS newcomers:Yoda, Master of the Order is a powerful new attacker for the faction who has good mobility, damage output and survivability, and will be able to do well when plugged into a squad with some of the Republic's vast array of movement breakers. He also has a very solid commander effect giving +4 Attack, +10 Damage and MOTF2 to Unique Jedi with only one attack, making a squad with him, Yaddle (who also helps the single attack Jedi) and some of their beneficiaries a very attractive possibility.
Ima Gun-Di joins the ranks of single attack Jedi as a solid option with pretty good stats and abilities for his cost, but even more interesting is his ability to stop your opponent using Suppressive Fire or Overwhelming Power to cut through your defensive Force powers and special abilities. He doesn't work with some of the most extreme tanks such as General Obi-Wan Kenobi and the ObiKin duo character, but he might be a helpful addition for squads centred around Cin Drallig or Yaddle.
The Clone Commander provides some incentive to play non-Unique clones with Unique Jedi commanders via his commander effect giving them Triple Attack and +4 Attack when near each other, but probably won't be very viable since neither group has characters that are both competitive enough and can make good use of the boosts.
Meebur Gascon in M5-BZ invents "Unique Republic droids" as a new (though not competitive) squad type out of thin air, and is probably best when paired with IG88A and his buddies.
