For round 1, you'll be assigned a squad at random. In each successive round, you take the squad you just used to the next table, and the two players swap squads before playing the game. So whenever you win, in the next round you have to beat the squad you had just won with. Why?* All of these squads have seen some success in a prior tournament. Let's see them face each other. * The squad that wins will have been played by multiple players, and the winning player will have to play with multiple squads. So the winning squad won't skate to a win based on one player's skill, and the winning player can't rely on one superior squad. Bump. Anyone want the 8th spot? If not, someone will probably take 2 squads. Timing on this should work for NZ players if anyone is interested.

Of players already signed up, who is willing to take a 2nd slot in the bracket? If we don't get an 8th player, we'll see where the extra slot winds up. The extra slot will go to a player on the opposite side of the bracket (randomly chosen from those who are willing to run it), so that nobody plays themselves unless they reach the finals from both sides of the bracket.
I'm willing to take 2 slots if needed, but I won't take it unless I'm the only option.
If someone has to take 2 squads, that will naturally make it harder to get in a full 2 rounds in one night, but it's still possible. Still hoping we get an 8th player.

I'll hand out the squads later today. It's going to be random, but with some restrictions so that players will avoid seeing their own squads as long as possible. That means the possible seeds players can draw are as follows:

I just got an email from DarthBainCapital and he'll take the 8th slot for at least the 1st round. He said he's not sure he can do the whole tournament. If he wins and can't advance, we'll find a pinch-hitter for him.

Move Mission 6, cannon shot, then she goes first and double-attacks. 150dmg at the top of the round in 50dmg chunks.
