I wanted to make a squad with Chewie, Rio Durant and Maul Hologram.
Rio gives characters who count as Chewbacca Independent Outfit.
Maul Hologram has Rival (Cannot be in a squad with any non-Fringe character without Independent Outfit)
So I know I cannot start them all together in a squad, since camaraderie happens after squad building
But - if I use Lobot, can I bring Maul Hologram as a reinforcement?

Maul could be Reserves for sure in that situation.
Hold for an answer to the Reinforcements and Camaraderie question.

I did some digging in camaraderie. The info on it is scattered and buried. There's no way I can find to search bloo forums, and All the search engines I tried only go back a few months at most for posts. Swm gamers has some dead links for vset faqs... Are these available? Do we have a way to expand them? Id be willing to compile one from the forums here as a long term project, but don't want to reinvent the wheel. A: No. Camaraderie does not take effect during squad building or before you add a piece into your squad. I don't know if that last part was intended to include reinforcements. Edit: IMHO, think lobot + maul is legal and the faq just needs expanding to clarify.

Adam, thanks for digging that up. Sorry for the delays, but I do have an answer to the question at hand.
The given Lobot (UH) + Maul interaction does not work. Reinforcements happen before Camaraderie takes effect.
I'm working on an "in the squad" guide along the lines of the "start of skirmish/start of round" guide that is on swmgamers. This particular question, though, is a timing question and its answer will be slotted into the existing start of skirmish guide.
