Spheres of Influence League--Each player brings: TWO 200pt legal squads from 2 different factions (out of the 3 or 4 factions) for that round's theme. --Regular faction and affinity rules apply (Fringe characters may appear in any squad, and you are free to use Fringe as your squad's faction, ONLY IF IT IS A LEGAL FACTION for that week's theme. (Yes, adding one piece of another faction to an "all fringe" squad changes the faction. And yes, that does make it the new faction. Example, Mando and the Child in a Talon Karrde squad is a MANDALORIAN squad, even though it plays like an all Fringe squad. Literally ALL FRINGE can only be used if FRINGE is listed as a faction that round.) --Players simultaneously reveal links to both squads that they've brought, CLEARLY LABELING which squad will be run first and which squad will be run second in the reveal. --Then Player A and Player B both play their squad 1, and then immediately after (or sometime convenient for both players before the deadline) they will each play their squad 2. Players will have 2 weeks to finish both games in each round. The next round starts the day after the last game of the previous round is finished. (The simultaneous reveal is required only to have a link for the 2nd squad. Players may keep their 2nd squad set to private until the start of the second match. The link is simply so that a player may not build their second squad based on what faction their opponent played with the first squad. We will use the honor system to not change the second squad after the first squad's reveal) --Play the first game with each of the squads you listed first. --Then play a second game with your other squad vs the same player. It may be the same day, back to back days, or even 14 days apart - as long as both are done within 2 weeks. MaplistWe will be using the new restricted map list for 2021-2022. All of the maps are now available on Vassal (8/13), so all are now legal. Available on Vassal from the start (legal from start to finish of the league)Quote:Imperial Garrison Asteroid Base Cloud City Gangster's Vault Available on Vassal now (8/13), (legal starting round 2 to the finish of the league) Quote:Desert Marketplace Imperial Checkpoint Oceanic Facility Royal Militia HQ

The League Championship FINALSQuote:ULTIMATE POWER
You have shown great power in reaching this level, however your SPHERES OF INFLUENCE must be far reaching. You must face this final test without the use of your trusted allies, and make allegiance with those you have never worked with. Only then can you become the ULTIMATE POWER in the universe!
Faction Restrictions: (overuse) -If a player has used a faction THREE or more times in the entire tournament, that faction MAY NOT BE PLAYED by that player (underuse) -If a player HAS NOT played any ONE faction in the entire tournament, that faction MUST BE PLAYED as your FIRST or SECOND squad this round. -If a player HAS NOT played TWO factions in the entire tournament, those factions MUST BE PLAYED as your FIRST and SECOND squads this round. -If a player has not played THREE OR MORE factions in the entire tournament, YOUR OPPONENT CHOOSES two of those factions not used. Those factions MUST BE PLAYED as your FIRST and SECOND squads this round. Then the player may choose one of the remaining factions they have not played as their third squad. (balanced use) The remaining squads are built from factions played ONCE or TWICE by that player during the entire tournament, only after the above restrictions have been followed. (note - the faction chosen for the third match in the semi-finals only counts as played if the third match actually gets played.) Everyone must build (exactly) THREE squads in 3 different factions for this round, following the above restrictions. Refer to the main thread on how to reveal with your opponent. Mark squads #1, #2, #3 for the order they will be played. The 3rd squad might not be played, if the first 2 are won by the same player. 3-2-1 points do not matter in this round, only wins and losses. Pairings: Quote:thereisnotry vs TimmerB123 TimmerB123 has played Old Republic 3 times in the tournament, so therefore may not play them in the finals. He has played all other factions at least once and at most twice, so all other factions are available to use. thereisnotry has played all factions exactly 1 or 2 times each, therefore all factions are available;e to him for the finals. Week #1 thereisnotry (Republic) defeats spryguy1981 (Republic) 200-65 (3-0).
thereisnotry: --Republic Commandos-- 26 Elite Republic Commando - Boss 23 Elite Republic Commando - Fixer 23 Elite Republic Commando - Scorch 23 Elite Republic Commando - Sev 23 Clone Commander Bacara 23 Republic Commando Niner 22 Republic Commando Fi 17 Republic Commando Boss 9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid 5 Rodian Diplomat 3 Mouse Droid 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist (200pts. 12 activations)
spryguy1981: --Spheres Squad 1-- 65 Mace Windu, Legacy of the Light Side 55 Yoda, Master of the Order 28 Mira of Nar Shaddaa 23 Foul Moudama 14 Coleman Trebor 9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid 6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2 (200pts. 8 activations)
We played on Asteroid Base, and Matt let me choose the side (I chose right).
Near the end of the first round I towed Sev to put 40dmg on Coleman, who promptly hid out of sight.
At the start of the second round R2 towed Mace in, who attacked Sev...and didn't roll a crit. Sev's shields held so he only took 30dmg. After that Mace went down in a hail of blasterfire and I locked the door. Later that round I blasted the door I had locked, and then someone killed R2.
At the start of round 3 I tried to tow Sev (30hp) to safety, but nothing is outside of Foul-Yoda's range, and Sev went down. Yoda put some damage on Fi, and then later Mira used Force Sense and did some further damage to Fi, but his shields kept him alive until the end of the round, when Yoda reflected a crit back in his face.
Yoda dropped at the start of the next round, and Mira fell quickly after that.
We're planning to play our second match tomorrow morning.

Week #2 thereisnotry (New Republic) defeats spryguy1981 (New Repbulic) 200-52 (3-0).
thereisnotry: --It's True-- 45 Han Solo, Corellian Legend 33 Luke Skywalker, New Republic Hero 32 Jaina Solo Fel, Jedi Master 29 Ganner Rhysode 25 Head of State Jagged Fel 23 General Wedge Antilles 13 BB-8 (200pts. 7 activations)
spryguy1981: --Spheres Squad 2-- 46 Rey Skywalker 35 General Leia Organa 34 Chewbacca with Bowcaster 33 Han Solo with Bowcaster 30 Ben Solo, Redeemed 14 Luke Skywalker, Jedi Spirit 13 BB-8 5 Porg (210pts. 8 activations)
Matt won the map roll so we played on Imperial Garrison. I chose to set up on the right side. The score can deceive you...don't trust it. This game, Matt rolled SEVEN 1s and FIVE 2s...by contrast, I think I rolled a total of two 1s. So yeah, Matt got severely Vassaled.
Round 1 was positioning.
Round 2: I won init and ambushed with Luke for 90dmg on Chewie (Han BG'd some of it). Chewie attacked Luke back, but rolled what would be the first of many 1s. Ben healed Chewie, but his pride was still hurt. Jaina then leaped in for big damage on Ben (some of it was bg'd). Luke levitated Rey up beside Jaina. Han punched some damage onto Jaina (plasma bolt made the difference on a failed Deflect save)...and then he rolled a 1 as well. Jag took out Matt's Han, which resulted in a Retaliatory Barrage from Chewie, which brought Jaina down to 20hp and yep...another 1 vs Luke. Jaina fell to the onslaught of Rey's multi-attacks.
Round 3: Luke saved my bacon by Foreseeing the Future, which allowed him to kill Chewie (even after an Essence of Life). It turns out that our pieces were situated in a way that Rey was exactly 1 square away from where she needed to be (even via Levitation) in order to obliterate my Han. Luke took some damage from Ben and BB8, and was then Levitated back to be close to Han. Spry's Luke then levitated Rey forward, and then she acrobatic'd herself adjacent to Han, only to take 90dmg back from that lovable scoundrel.
Round 4: Luke foresaw that he would win the initiative, and proceeded to finish off Rey with a single attack (she rolled a 3 for the Parry and had no FP left). After that it was a fairly quick cleanup.
So yeah, vassal dice...they either love you or they hate you. This was a close game and could've easily gone in Matt's favor if the dice were even-handed in their malicious 1-ness.

Played against Darth_Jim in our first battle.
I won 200 - 121 (3-1)
We played on Imperial Garrison
It was Old Republic vs. Old Republic. Jaq vs. Jaq Princess vs. Princess Mother vs. Daughter (that also had a Mother and great great something granddaughter)
My squad was "Its Shan in the Family"
50 Boba Fett, Assassin for Hire 37 Satele Shan 36 Atton "Jaq" Rand 33 Bastila Shan, Jedi Master 33 Vima Sunrider 6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2 3 XT-6 Droid 2 Kneesaa, Ewok Princess
(200pts. 9 activations)
Darth_Jim ran
-Nomi Thon Rider-- 64 Master Thon 60 Nomi Sunrider, Head of the Jedi Order 36 Atton "Jaq" Rand 22 Jedi Holocron x2 10 Porg x2 6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2 2 Kneesaa, Ewok Princess
______________________________________
I set up on right dashing to Gambit. At the end I had Satele outside the locked door in Gambit. he had Thon in gambit with his Atton going up the top.
2nd round I intuition away with Satele and things got crazy. Satele ends up basing Thon and tries to assault but he cancels it. Then his Nomi and Thon eat away at my life and I saved 2 force and successfully absorbed a shot from Atton that would have brought me to 10 and a certain death but reversed me back up to 70. Satele was trying to stay strong to prove that she inherited the birthright. Vima ran up and misses Atton, rerolls to a crit! to do 50 and the next attack misses again. Boba got some shots off from the back.
Round 3 I win init and Vima kills Atton (who did make his first set of Avoid Defeat saves). Nomi unloads on the forceless Satele and gets 40 in through parry. Thon Repulses and kills her. (PS I just thought of it now but that Repulse should have damaged Nomi, but I didn't think about it). So Satele's lifeless body was thrown against a wall as were 2 ugnaughts. Thon moves up and it takes Atton and Boba to kill him. Nomi drops where Boba cannot get to her. Some movement with holocrons. Round 4 He wins init but lets me go first. Atton shoots at Nomi and I think one hit got through. I run Vima down to get Sokan and her jedi reflexes and pure awesomeness have her crit Vima. I felt like it should have been a slice across her chest as she ran past. She then does some quick bladework and slices her again before the Charging Assault drops 60 on Nomi. Nomi then ruthlessly finishes off the job. Boba got some shots and Bastila runs up. Jim kept using the RDE +2 and the Porgs to make his defense saves. Round 5 I win init and Atton shoots, then an XT pops Bastila who runs and finishes the job with an assault.
Crazy fun game. Action and survivability where really cool. It made it very engaging and if Satele didnt absorb and have parry to absorb even more it was a different game.
It was my first time playign Bastila, I was hoping to play some big time commander squad haha, but he had the one commander. I really enjoyed Vima's design and think she is a fun piece. I don't know much about Sokan but am going to look into it.
We will schedule our next game sometime. I have seen the squad and it is going to be a blast!

Week #1Darkdracul (New Republic) defeats Mando (Republic) 230-78 (3-0). Darkdracul: --Triple Fel Jedi—Squad 1. http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/229651/triple-fel-jedi33 Luke Skywalker, New Republic Hero 32 Jaina Solo Fel, Jedi Master 29 Ganner Rhysode 27 Soontir Fel, Commander of the 181st 18 Klatooinian Captain 18 Lor San Tekka 17 Keyan Farlander, Jedi General 15 Paige Tico, Resistance Gunner 10 Jagged Fel (199pts. 9 activations) Mando: --Ahsexy Rexy Dume Bot (Rakghoul edition) - (SoI Round 1, Squad #1)-- 70 Commander Rex and Ahsoka Tano 51 Celeste Morne 29 Anakin Skywalker, Jedi 22 Caleb Dume, Jedi Padawan 11 Jedi Holocron 9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid 5 Spaarti Clone Trooper Demolitionist 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist (200pts. 8 activations) We played on Imperial Garrison. Mando took left and I had the right. Round 1: Luke set up in Gambit and characters advanced. Hologram attaches to Celeste. R2 tows Celeste to run and attack luke rolling a Crit but Luke defenses it away. Page dies bodyguarding the next attacks. Jaina runs up and Crits on Celeste who fails her Lightsaber D doing big damage then Luke goes and finishes off Celeste. Round 2: Mando wins init and Rex-Soka pulls Luke & drops him to 60hp. Luke damages Rex-soka and gets pushed. Jaina runs up and drops Rex-soka to 60hp. Holocron attaches to Rex-Soka. Ani jumps over Jaina to kill Luke. Guys move up, Caleb damages Jaina, and R2 locks the main door. Round 3: I win init and Jaina kills Rex-soka. Ani and Caleb drop Jaina down to 60hp. Keyan overrides the door and Soontir Fel drops Ani to 30hp. Holocron attaches to Caleb and R2 locks the door again. Round 4: I win init and Jaina kills R2 and drops Caleb to 40hp. Anakin can’t get any damage onto Jaina. Caleb tries a hail mary to get those 100 points but dies from AoO. Holocron attaches to Anakin before he dies. Game concludes. I won most of the key inits and the dice did favor me for sure. We were cracking jokes and laughing about his promiscuous Jedi Holocron swapping characters every round. That was pretty funny. It was a fun game and I’m looking forward to more action in this tournament.

Round 1 matchup, game #2 Mando defeats DarkDracul 230-138. 3pts for Mando, 1pt for DarkDracul. Dracul won map, so we played on Imperial Garrison. My squad: http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/229580/old-wookie-cookie-cutters--soi-round-1--squad--2---Old Wookie Cookie Cutters (SoI Round 1, Squad #2)-- 30 Raana Tey, Jedi Master 27 Xamar, Covenant Consular 25 Gnost-Dural, Jedi Master 23 Master Q'Anilia 21 Covenant Defender 18 Wookiee Commander 11 Teethree (T3-M4) 11 Wookiee Scoundrel 11 Wookiee Trooper 10 Covenant Sentinel 10 Wookiee Scout 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist (200pts. 12 activations) DarkDraculs squad: http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/229516/jedi-crusader-librarian--Jedi Crusader Librarian-- 44 Meetra Surik, Republic General 38 Revan, Supreme Commander 29 Revanchist Jedi Master 26 Malak, Jedi General 24 Crusader General 24 Echani Jedi 11 Teethree (T3-M4) 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist 3 XT-6 Droid (202pts. 9 activations) I took Revan's CE for my squad using Gnost, and that was a nice bonus. My Covenant uniques were able to GMA with Tripple Attack for up to 40 damage. Was really fun using the wookies with the Covenant and Gnost-Dural! I did a lot of shooting and Dracul made a bunch of evade saves (until i killed Malak). The Garrison has a pretty severe bottleneck so it was just Raana and Q'Anilla duking it out with Meetra and the Echanni. I made a dumb move with my Sentinel and got it killed on an AOO from Meetra (forgot she had twin).I made a nice lightsaber defense save with Raana to prevent her from dying to the Echanni and triggering the Rolling Cleave. MVP for Dracul was (no suprise) Teethree. He flamed 3 of my guys to take out Raana and Xamar. My wookies got their revenge tho, blasting the poor droid through his power shield. I had Gnost, my covenant defender and a bunch of Wookies making cookies in end. Librarians get hungry for cookies, so they made an extra batch. I really like this squad and was glad I got to debut it and test it out! thanks Dracul for the fun games and hope you do well in the next round!
