Woohoo!
The 2021 version of this annual event was held on time (near Logan1's birthday). It was again kept smaller due to continued world conditions. But always fun to get together with a group to play SWM.
With 7 players, the group said three rounds would be good as one undefeated player would emerge.
Round 1 Owen vs RJ finished 105-23 for 2-0 Logan1 vs Micah finished 155-133 for 2-1 Tim vs Mark finished 221-23 for 3-0 Drew drew the bye for a 200-0 3 point win
Round 2 Tim vs Drew finished 97-91 for 2-0 Logan1 vs Owen finished 240-135 for 3-1 Micah vs RJ finished 240-0 for 3-0 Mark won/lost the luck of the draw (he and RJ were even after the first round) to get the 200-0 3-0 bye
Round 3 Tim vs Logan1 finished 187-86 for 3-0 (almost the mirror result of their LBB9 game when Logan1 won) Micah vs Drew finished 129-88 for 2-0 Owen vs Mark finished 239-70 for 3-0 RJ had the 200-0 3-0 bye win
Final standings Tim 3-0 8 pts Micah 2-1 6 pts Owen 2-1 6 pts Logan1 2-1 5 pts Drew 1-2 3 pts Mark 1-2 3 pts RJ 1-2 3 pts bye 0-3 0 pts
Drew again made custom trophies for top 3. This time … Stormtrooper holding a birthday cake while standing on a platform above a 3D LBB 2021 logo.

Tim's random squad
The night before, I was at my computer wondering what squad I would bring. And I wasn't going to have time to think about it. So BlooMilk's squad search to the rescue. What to search on? Well, the info for my Double Barrel shock for my MTB bike was on the desk next to my computer. How about "double?" A squad called Double Cannon was similar to my Double Barrel shock name, so that's works.
--Double Cannon--
43 Jabba Desilijic Tiure 31 Mother Talzin 75 Nightsister Hunter x3 21 Talia, Nightsister Hunter 17 Ortugg, Gamorrean Leader 6 Mouse Droid x2 6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2
When Drew saw it, he said he thought this squad or something similar to it won GenCon. Is that true? _______________________________________________________________________________
Logan1’s squad:
The mandalorian and the child Embo Guild master cradosk Ig-11 R7 astromech Porg 3x mandalorian guardsman _______________________________________________________________________________
RJ's squad:
Lieutenant page Commando on speeder Rebel commando strike leader General crux marine Elite rebel commando 4x Veteran rebel commando 2x rebel commando munitions expert 2x rebel commando pathfinder 2x mouse droids ______________________________________________________________________________
Micah's squad:
Hondo Ohnaka Dashade Pirate Aurra Sing, Assassin Enfys Nest Vette Arvo Norstag, Pirate King Captain Zothip Pirate Breechman _______________________________________________________________________________
Drew's Squad:
"In the Spirit of Resistance"
35 General Leia Organa 34 Chewbacca with Bowcaster 33 Han Solo with Bowcaster 30 Ben Solo, Redeemed 25 Rey 19 Resistance Captain 14 Luke Skywalker, Jedi Spirit 13 BB-8 6 Cobalt Squadron Pilot 5 Porg _______________________________________________________________________________
Mark asked me the morning of if he could borrow all of my Geonosian Drones. Hmmmm, what was he up to? :>) He also asked Logan1 if he could borrow some more.
Mark's Squad:
"Dooku’s Lancer" (variant)
57 Count Dooku, Separatist Leader 43 Wat Tambor, Techno Union Foreman 31 IG Lancer Droid 20 General Whorm Loathsom 17 IG-86 Assassin Droid 9 Poggle the Lesser 9 Battle Droid Officer 3 Mouse Droid 6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2 4 Geonosian Drone x2
The funniest thing (for the rest of us, but not for Mark): Dooku's reserves on 5,10,15,20 along with Anticipation should bring in a plenty of extra figures, right? Across all three games, with all the initiative rolls, Dooku using Force points every time for Anticipation rerolls, and rerolls for die roll ties with his opponents, Dooku brought in reserves twice.
Mark wanted to have some fun with that squad. He didn't. What should have been Reserves 40+% of the time only paid off <10%. _______________________________________________________________________________
Owen's squad:
"Mandalorian Dog Pound"
75 Mandalore the Ultimate 55 Mandalore the Preserver 36 Cassus Fett 30 Massiff x3 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

Awesome that you're still doing this. I remember you and Mark reporting on these on your podcast.

Wow - I missed that this happened. That's awesome!
And, yes, Talzin did win GenCon.

The squad was a little different, it had Asajj Ventress Nightsister.
Congrats on the win!
Note on your squad Tim, have you thought about Bib Fortuna, Majordomo? He makes Fringe Hutt Cartel squads amazing. You wouldn't need Ortug, and the movement breaker (although tricky to get the hang of), is extremely powerful. Not to mention the rapport with Jabba makes his net cost very cheap.
