That's a really cool squad because it has 3 significant attackers, rather than the 2 that you often get in a Thrawn squad. It also has 2 chargers, so you don't necessarily need to use an Amanin Scout. What did you normally use for your reinforcements?

I have never scored so many points and lost so much. I lost like 213-200 to Steven, 125-105 to Greg, 186-184 to Bryan, like 135-127 to Shawn and beat Randy 3-1. Unreal.

That's insane! I looked at your squad and considered it to be one of the stronger ones there, so I was curious why you didn't finish near the top.

Not sure about the rest but, against me, I rolled Evades and Shiens like a mad man.

He is a one-man wrecking crew really . . . I just screwed up by adding a Porg to my squad making Dodonna's (Mando Tactician) CE useless. I did everything to get it killed, but the darn thing wouldn't die. Stupid Porg made every Save roll and at least 3 enemies rolled Ones trying to attack it. WHY!!!!!! Oh well, it was a fun day of minis with good people. Thanks for hosting Shawn!

My reinforcements every game were 6 rodians and kneesa. The rodians were probably more helpful to blocking hallways against enemy beat sticks in this tourney, but were for sure helpful as swap fodder in my game against Mikes BX droids. Against Bryan and Shawn for sure they kept their big hitters away from my cannons long enough for damage to get through.

Very interesting build. I wonder if Talon would have been better? The Swap is so powerful! Does it overpower all the time +4 +10, Ysalamiri, Disruptive, and beginning of round movement breaker?
It looks like it does. and he can be a lot more safe. Talon tends to want to get in the fray.
Well done on the victory! Embo seeing the victory mound again is intriguing as well.

Talon may have been better in this tourney, but only because there were several squads with big force users. However, having 2 attackers that can charge and a swap means I can do deep strikes against commanders if needed and the Master Tactician is big as well.

Great job using him. It is wonderful to see 3 attackers with him. Probably very fun.

Great job using him. It is wonderful to see 3 attackers with him. Probably very fun. I think one reason Thrawn might be better than Talon with this squad is that (assuming you out-activate) you can deep-strike rather easily with 2 chargers (one of whom goes 16) and the swap, and then you almost surely get to keep the striker alive the next round, and that striker still gets to activate. By contrast, in a Talon squad if you send Embo in for a deep strike near the end of Round 1, you're very likely to lose him at the start of Round 2, unless you want to try to waste his turn running far away instead of making another attack. There's no question Talon is good, but I think it's Thrawn's magic combo of swap and MT, on top of the dmg-boost, that really does it.
