I think this would be a really good way to get representatives from different factions.
They would also be able to do things like bring up an activation cap, discuss among their own group and then report to the President in a monthly Board Meeting. You can do things like "Play-testing updates" and things like that to discover needs.
The Board can vote on things and everyone can be happy about it.
Right now there is all this "behind the scenes" stuff like there always has been. Where is the activation cap discussion going? The Jabba discussion? etc. We won't know until Balance committee comes out with a ruling. Which is not really an open policy. Bring it up in open board meetings. Regular ol' joe's should be able to add items to the meetings minutes as well.
Could make for some good "Podcasts" as well. Wouldn't be that hard tbh. Things like discussing the state of the player's mindset when going into a tournament can be discussed.
We can legit hold elections for spots. That would be good for the game too.

1) At this stage of "Out of Production" -
there are several locales, SWGamers, BoardgameGeek, TabletopSimulator,
VASSAL + ProgressQuest, SWMinisPlays, WorldAnvil etc... and Bloomilk.
Which one/s are the 'true successor" to Wizards of the Coast?
(Heroclix resolved this by forming a players association to take over after Clix ended...)
