What's the pulse on people who might be interested in doing a league similar to what we did with Tim's Sphere's of Influence league? I'm not much of an organizer so we would probably need someone who is better at organizing than I am but I know I for one would be interested in doing one.

I am down for a league. I don't know about Timmerb's Sphere of Influence.
I would LOVE to do a team battle.
If 6 people. sign up 3 are on light side and 3 are on dark side.
Go ahead and make the schedule so that each person can see what order they will play what person and what faction they will be playing (not the squad).
An example would be:
DARK Side

#2
#3
Light Side
A
B
C
Round 1
#1 (Old Republic) vs A (Sith)
#2 (Republic) vs B (Separatists)
#3 (New Republic) vs. C (Imperials)
Round 2
#1 (Republic) vs. B (Imperials)
#2 (New Republic) vs. C (Sith)
#3 (Old Republic) vs. A (Separatists)
Round 3
#1 (New Republic) vs. C (Separatists)
#2 (Old Republic) vs. A (Imperials)
#3 (Republic) vs. B (Sith)
If there are more than 3 they just join up in whatever order is needed to mix it up. We can see which factions reigns supreme as well as which wins the Light or the Dark.

I like the idea of a LS/DS league similar to what we did with Sphere's but not the actual Sphere's concept. Players get paired round robin like we did before and each player brings an LS squad and DS squad. They can pick any order to use the squads in and often you may get LS vs LS and DS vs DS but that's the magic in it. Can do something similar to where each player can only play each faction X times depending on how many sign up.

I'd be interested in this. I had a tournament concept that I was wanting to see if people would be interested in, but I guess it could wait until after this one if we get enough people. My idea was a tournament called Galactic Escalation. I'll post it in a separate forum post.

This sounds like a lot of fun. I was trying to get something going like this for Roll20. I have a good concept laid out and a website with an interactive galactic map to boot.
