Ok, so I recently played against this piece and my opponent interpreted Force control to mean that I couldn't use any force until the start of Kols next turn. I disagreed and said that it was only for force abilities and didn't affect force powers and as such I should have been allowed to spend force to replace my attacks and make Kol spirit go away. I need to know who was correct? If it is like my opponent believes and it shuts down all force usage by the opposing team until Kol activates then I just found my new favorite NR character as that is insanely good for 14 points and is probably broken if I was correct then he could still be useful situationally, but definitely isn't broken.

After reading glossary entries I am still convinced I was correct as it specifically says force abilities and there are distinctions between force abilities and force powers made in the glossary.

Correct, Force abilities are a subset of Force powers.
