Sorry, a senior moment is rearing its ugly head;
Do special abilities with the same name on different characters stack?

Do special abilities with the same name on different characters stack? Same name abilities almost never stack. Do you have an example in mind? Rapport stacks as long as the text is different, but that is a WotC exception to the rule. Other abilities do not stack with themselves, even if the text is different. In particular, Synergy does not stack. A few abilities do stack with themselves, but they say so explicitly. Mettle is an example.

Each of them are adjacent to an ally that is hit with a non-adjacent attack. Do both Defender SA's trigger?

Intimidation, which multiple Inquisitors have, is the specific special ability that I was wondering about

You only get to use Defender once. same question, but with Energy Shield: http://www.bloomilk.com/Forums/default.aspx?g=posts&t=14233DarthMaim wrote:Intimidation, which multiple Inquisitors have, is the specific special ability that I was wondering about It does not stack with itself. You could, however, have a character being affected by an ally's and an enemy's Intimidation at the same time, cancelling each other out.
