The Sith are again rising and this time really seething with force lightning energy, to announce the Strategicon Convention, which is called "Gateway" in September, will be presenting 2 Star Wars Miniatures events on Sunday, September 1st, 2024, 11:30am-10:00pm, at The Hilton Los Angeles Hotel, located just a few minutes from LAX.
Please arrive at 11:15am, so that we can get registered, distribute boosters, and get opponent pairings.
11:30am-12:00pm: Registration/Pay for participation badge/Card Set + Booster sheet distribution/Squad Building
Event #1: 12:00pm-5:00pm: Star Wars Miniatures Sealed Booster Draft Tournament for Virtual Set # 26 "New Peridea Exiles" and the subset "Primary Operations Strikeforce". Each participant will receive 1 set of 42 cards and 1 sub-set of 12 cards and 2 random booster sheets, to make a 200pt team. . The tourney will consist of 3-4 swiss rounds. GM will provide minis to borrow. Prize support will be provided by the convention for the top 2 participants. The new set is unbelievable and again continues to do what Wizards of the Coast couldn't do; make a more balanced game, and help the seldom used factions to actually be playable! Introducing many new SW expanded universe characters, Disney + Star Wars series characters, special abilities, Force powers, and cool commander effects, in which all factions are represented. With many new special abilities, Force powers, and characters never done yet in SWM, there are many new elements to keep our beloved game new, fresh, and super fun. You do not want to miss out on playing in a tourney with these exciting new sets!
5:00pm-6:00pm: Break
Event #2: 6:00pm-10:00pm: Star Wars Miniatures Epic's Royal Rumble Melee Character Draft: Each participant will receive 3, 2 melee-character randomized teams ( each with 1 Epic ), each totalling 200 points or less, to borrow. Play will be on 1 map, and will be a free-for-all format, with the best teams prevailing. Participant with the most kill points, wins! GM will provide minis, cards, and map, for participants to borrow.
Strategicon is the proud Con that is So Cals finest gaming convention! It takes place Presidents Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day weekends, every year. Each holiday weekend has a special Con name, and Labor Day weekend is known as Gateway. Please join us in battle as we slash, Force push, Force pull, Force lightning, Force grip, Sith sorcery, Force whirlwind, and Force blast the day away!

Southern California Gaming Conventions - Strategicon
Strategicon runs three gaming conventions a year. Come and enjoy playing a number of board, card, collectible, miniature, party, tabletop and live action role playing, video and wor games. Conventions run for four days each during Presidents, Menorial and Labor Day weekends located at the LAX Hilton.
