We just held GenCon in person a few weeks ago.
I frequently play in person with my son.

Besides regular games with locals, we usually attend a few regionals yearly in Chicago, Indiana, and Ohio.
New Zealand has a few events, and Mel hosts a couple in California.
Vassal makes playing each other long distance easier and draws the most tournament numbers for the championship.

Yes, play regularly every second week. Also play Imperial Assault once a month and one other game once a month. So 2 in every 4 weeks for SWM's

I have been organizing and running SWM events since 2007'ish here in Los Angeles, CA, at StrategiCon 3 times a year in person ( - 1-2 yrs during Covid ). I just ran 2 events this past Sept 1st, in person: A SWM V-set 26 booster draft tourney and a fun "SWM Battle Royale" event, at StrategiCon, here in LA  .
