probably stupid but if you force push someone past another character's threatened squares, would that provoke an AoO?

Pushing does not provoke attacks of opportunity. This is covered in the glossary definition of push.

and if you force push someone adjacent to youwith self destruct, they go BOOM right next to you as well.
just a side note if yer pushing adjacent KelDors or NomBomb Ewoks.....

No, that character is defeated before Exar enters the space, and all abilities that trigger when a character is defeated would take place before Exar enters the space.
