33 Captain Rex 28 Clone Trooper on Speeder 23 Clone Trooper with Repeating Blaster 21 Admiral Yularen 52 501st Clone Trooper x4 13 Czerka Scientist 9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid 8 Mas Amedda 12 Ugnaught Demolitionist x4
(199pts. 15 activations) I posted this for help not for my squad to get voted that is why there is no link.
Something is wrong with the squad but I dont know what it is other than vs Yodabuck. I have 15 acts. So I should be able to get opp off. I have the speeder and Czerka to help get it off mid round opp. I understand that the 501st have to stay close together but I think with the czerka for Jolt and the Speeder it shouldnt be that big of a deal.

The big thing you have to worry about is Strafing squads because you have to keep your 501st bunched together. This squad: http://www.bloomilk.com/squads/View.aspx?ID=64897, would tear through your squad as is so at least I would drop the CTwRB for a Elite Clone Trooper Commander and an R7 droid. This will give you double override and your 501st will have a 18 defense.

This is why I dont post squads on forums. I get odd answers that dont make sense. So how does a plus 4 def and double override help vs yodabuck or strafe they dont. For the same points I could add Mon from ROTS how does that help the problem it helps big time. opp death blows for 40 a hit.
Another problem is I dont have to keep the 501st close together because I have the Bike and Czerka with Rex. Since they have SA built in helps get off opp mid round if needed.

Double override helps a ton vs strafe and speed squads (Yobuck). My friend likes to play with a GGDAC IG Lancer squad and whenever play it i always make sure i have at least 2 override pieces. It allows me to lock off paths and forces him to either waste a door control piece or put his lancer in a spot that gives me the upper hand. You are correct in the +4 defense wont help much vs Yobuck and strafe squads but it will help against ranged attacks which are always a threat. When playing squads like this you really have to think carefully about your strategy and you need to be wary when placing your pieces. Use doors and tight corridors as much as possible you need to keep them at a distance.
