I would like to learn how to use VASSAL for mini games, but to do that I would need an opponent. Would someone please play with me? I'll be in the main room.

You need to put the maps into the ext folder, I think.

That doesn't sound like a problem with Vassal. Sounds to me like you have a problem somewhere else.

when you download do you get the option of saving???

When you do choose to browse around where you are going to save it. Use that function to find the desktop. Then choose to save it there.
