My figure with jolt and opportunist hits an enemy character. Can I make my opponent roll the jolt save first and if he fails, apply opportunistic damage? Or is the jolt effect last?

Okay, some clarifications are needed. Jolt is resolved before damage is applied, as per the Resolving Effects section of the FAQ. However, I believe the question is whether Opportunist can change the damage after Jolt. The answer is no. You check for such effects at the beginning of the attack.

Thanks for that. Makes me wonder if there are/will be abilities that can take advantage of that order of events...

Doubtful. All bonuses to the attack (save crits) are resolved in step 5, whereas when hit is resolved in step 10, and damage is applied later. It would be a very complicated wording to work.

Resolve this ability after all other "hit" effects have been resolved. That wording is probably not explicit enough as is... I must say I like the idea though :)

Thus inserting a new step. Too complicated interactions to be worth it.
