At the top of the Dynamic Duo page, it says Boba BH is illegal. Why?

Because his Disintergration ability is increadably powerful in a format with only 2 charcters. Rolling a 20 will kill a member of the other team instantly along with boba being pretty tough. So he had to be removed from that format.

I´ll not discuss about this point, but imo is Betrayal much more dangerous. :)

Betrayal can easily be avoided by rerolling an attack roll of 1 as most characters in DD are force users. Disintegration is much more difficult to avoid.

If we're honest both Disintegration and Betrayal are bad in DD. Sure Betrayal is a little easier to avoid due to the proliferation of Force Users in DD but it still happens in which case it becomes far worse that Disintegration as instead of an instant 2 on 1 you're looking at 3 on 1. It would be nice if there weren't banning because of either abilty although it would be nice to bad each ability.

If I ran a DD tournament I would make Disintegration only do double damage.

So, you'd remove Disintegration from Boba BH, basically.

I seem to recall reading some discussion that Disintegration may be removed to allow Boba BH back into DD with the next floor rules update. I really don't know what the status of that is though.

Betrayal is nasty, and there are plenty of DD combos that include characters without force. I played a match once where I was literally down to 20 HP on my Kreia (other fig was dead) and Boba MC betrayed on what would have been the kill shot. I won on the next initiative. Easily should have been a loss.

I don't care either way, but I wouldn't complain if both abilities were removed from the format.

Boba will be unbanned in the Jan floor rules update. The Disintegration ability will be ignored. I have heard nothing of Betrayal being part of any changes.

True enough, I was just simply stating why he was banned orignally, not whether one was more dangerous. Being beaten to death by your own beatstick is worse then having it obitirated.

The short answer: Disintegration + Accurate Shot + Twin Attack is too powerful for a format where each player only has two characters. The odds of a Disintegration are incredibly high in this format as compared to a standard skirmish.

The long answer: Boba Fett at his cost couples too well with some very potent 38 pt. piece options that were, at the time the decision to ban him from the format was made, too difficult to deal with and negated much of what was intended in the creation of the format. When coupled with the short answer, the decision was made that it would be best to set him on the sidelines until the format developed.

For me Boba BH was never a first choice for a DD. His dmg output is much to low. Sure a crit is nice but i don´t build squads basicly on luck.
