all players who register before the event begins will be allowed to play. So, ignore that part of the booklet!
The "Standard" DCI map list will be used for all events
SATURDAY, APRIL 10, 9AM: SLOT 3, M308
Dynamic Duo. Regular DCI rules apply, though Boba Fett, Bounty Hunter will be allowed to be used, without the Disintegration ability.
Rounds: enough to cut to a clear winner
SATURDAY, APRIL 10, 2PM: SLOT 4, M405
150pt Constructed. Regular DCI rules apply.
Rounds: Enough to cut to a clear winner.
SATURDAY, APRIL 10, 7PM, SLOT 5, M506
2-person-team, 100pt constructed. Regular DCI rules apply, except with the changes noted below.
Special rules for the tourney:1) You must register in teams of two people.
2) Each person on a team has their own 100pt constructed squad. Uniques may not be used by more than one team member(if he's using Anakin, you cant use Vader, etc). No, you don’t have to play the same faction as your team mate.
3) Each player on the team MAY have their own map choice.
4) Commander effects that say ‘allies’ affect your team members figures also. Commander effects that say “followers’ only affect your own. Initiative mods (Thrawn, etc), tempo mods (Dodonna, etc), and movement breakers (levitate, swap, tow cable, etc) only affect your own squad though. Also, you can’t use a Force Spirit on your team members figure, though I’m not sure if my previous wording already disallowed it anyway.
*Pawn of the Darkside can be used on one of your teammates figures.
*Transfer Essence can be used on one of your teammates figures
with their consent.
5) Teams are paired off to battle. All four players roll for map. Winning team decides which of the maps (up to 4, since there are four separate players) to choose to play on. Map choice can be deferred like normal.
6) Team who lost map choice gets to set up first. Both players set up on the same short side of the map. Map choice winning side team members set up on the opposite short side of the map (YES, THAT MEANS ALL FOUR PLAYERS ON ONE MAP)
7) Victory conditions are ‘kill ‘em all’, or the first team to reach 200pts.
8) Only one player per team may get gambit points per round.
9) Player, not team, kill points will be tracked separately each round to determine which player on the team places higher in the tourney, overall.
10) All four players roll initiative. Highest roller decides to go first, or pass to higher roller of the opposing team. Initiative order is higher roller of first team, higher roller of second team, lower roller of first team, lower roller of second team.
I think that’s all, but if you can find any glaring loopholes or anything of the like, please point it out to me.
Rounds: Enough to cut to a clear winner.
We've got two cases of prize support for the Saturday tourneys, along with door prizes, and sportsmanship prizes, too, including a copy of the Clone Strike Ultimate Missions book.
SUNDAY, APRIL 11, 2PM, SLOT 7, I don’t know the registration number, lol
Masters of the Force Sealed Release Tournament. 100pts, unless it needs to be higher. Regular DCI rules apply.
Rounds: Enough to cut to a clear winner
Cost: Door entry, plus an additional charge of $22.50 for the two boosters.
Prize Support: 1 booster case of MotF, though I am working on getting more.
Other events are going on all weekend, too, but you probably don’t care about those anyway. So make sure to come out, and have a good time.
Also, I'm running all four events, so if you have any comments, complaints, or questions, feel free to let me know, though its easier to get a hold of me by email then on the boards:
