Depends on the Yuuzhan Vong army he's building. Disruptive is a YV killer for a Nom SS build.

If he doesn't use Nom try grand master Luke. He is a melee beast and Leia Skywalker to reroll the saves from thud bugs. If they hit him he'll hit back for 50 and Leia can light saber throw from the back. If you don't like to put your eggs in one basket then go with mobile attack like Argyus, Amidala, and senate commandos. Perhaps throw in yularen for att and dam bumps. If he does use Nom try something like yodabuck or lancers where you can kill him on the first or second turn and then mop up the now not self destructing chumps. For Nom i would take him out fast or run disruptive/its a trap.

Depends on the squad really. Against Super stealth you can always resort to using a treadwell droid to remove his stealth and then hammer away with mobile-attacking shooters. Force Sense won't be of any use due to their force immunity so you'd have to rely on other ways of removing his stealth.
You can also try for either an Old Republic or a Republic wookiee squad. I used to play Vong and whenever my opponent ran his old rep squad with 4x elite wookie warriors, t my Vong wouldn't last long enough to be a threat.

The key is damage overload. Against Vong, few high powered shots are much more effective than lots of little shots due to the Crab Armor. Pack in all the damage boosters you can, and avoid melee as much as possible. Also be sure to pack in an Accurate shooter to snipe all those pesky Vong boosters (Shaper, Priest, etc).

You could also use ASN assassin droids. Kohoun infestation works wonders on Vong. trick624 wrote: ? force sense is usable on vong
This is from the FAQ on wizards: Quote: Force Sense Q: Can Force Sense affect a character with Force Immunity? A: No.
The only force powers I know that affect Vong are powers that directly affect the user.

Force Sense can't be used on Vong pieces, it can be used on non-Vong in Nom Bomb squads but if you read Force -mmunity it doesn't work on them.
If you want to defeat Vong squad shooters and figures that do more than 20 damage in a shot to get around Crab Armor.
Cad with Thrawn could eliminate a jedi hunter in one activation if the rolls go right.
Lord Vader is a good pick, overwhelming Force/Rage/Opportunist kills them in one activation as well.

It would be much more helpful to show us the squad. Otherwise, everyone is grasping at straws guessing what you need. There are several different viable Vong strategies in today's game, and each would utilize a slightly different method to counter.

I've seen good Vong SS hate be played in the form of smartly-played Ithorian Commander swarms. If, for example, you have a Tusken who bases and whacks an Advance Scout, they both die, however, you only lost 4 points while they lose 6. An Aqualish can also make a relatively even swap at 7-6. The key is to make sure you are only losing as much as they are as often as possible. I'd also recommend some Disruptive and a solid Accurate shooter involved, though the build I've seen played at the LGS usually goes for pure numbers. Remember, we are far from hyper-competitive and DCI-level builds are the exception rather than the norm there, but that's what I've seen work in the past.
