I am proposing a potential Tier 1 squad at 150 points: http://www.bloomilk.com/Squads/View.aspx?ID=62596 Skywalker's Secret Service 47 General Skywalker 28 Dash Rendar, Renegade Smuggler 27 Lobot 26 Jedi Weapon Master 9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid 8 Mas Amedda 5 Caamasi Noble Preferred Reinforcements: (Lobot) 8 R4 Astromech Droid (Lobot) 3 Mouse Droid (Lobot) 9 Ugnaught Demolitionist x3 (150pts. 12 activations) Now, of course, the reinforcements may be used to bring in any other number of minis depending on your opponent's squad, but I find these reinforcements to do wonders for this squad with a majority of the games played. This squad has excellent ways to deal with most solid squads. What do you guys think of the squad? (If you do not think this is tier 1, please post comments as to what you think the squad's weakness is)

I think it would really suffer against Speedy Cannon or Lobbin' Luke. Don't get me wrong the concept is good, but I don't really see how it's going to compete against the old meta. Now against GOWK it will be pretty good, New Republic Kyle builds will cause havoc for it too in my opinion. But I think its a good squad.

With the restricted maps, I actually think it would probably perform just fine against the old meta, and it may or may not be a close battle, but I think it could give the LukeSS/dodonna/Han/Rieeken squad a good challenge. However, I still have not played it against that squad yet, so that comment is still lacking solid credibility.

IMO General Skywalker needs some more backup besides dash and a weapons master. your pieces are really fragile a good or even decent shooter team can take your guys out pretty easily before you can close the gap General Skywalker is going to have to be really protected from harm for this squad to work out.

I say yes. The trick will be keeping GS alive, while attacking with him, long enough to benefit Dash and the JWM. You will definately want a BG in many games to help with that. I would be tempted to change the JWM to Ferus (100hp BG) and drop the noble for an ugo.

A decent shooter team like.....? Unless the skirmish is played on a map like Mustafar/Ossus/Korriban/or Endor Bunker, the game will likely not go as you just stated it will be played out. All of those maps are only leagal on the open format which is not going to be an issue at most major tournaments. Movement breaking along with a shooter allows this squad to have plenty in the playbook to deal with shooter squads. I have only played this squad a few times, but every squad I played against that had a high powered shooter or multiple shooters never got a single shot off until I had based them. The even greater thing is that the moment a shooter gets based by this squad they are usually defeated that same turn. In fact, few shooters got any shots off at all

I would love to. The only problem I have is that I cannot use vassal. The only computers with internet I have access to are the ones on campus, and they don't allow us to download vassal. I've tried it a couple of times now. I have also tried downloading it onto a flash drive but the computers never let me get that far.
I am not going to be able to play it on vassal, but I welcome anyone to try it out on their own or by playing it against someone else on vassal.

The version I penned about two weeks ago: Mass MomentumUltimately it will be very hard to set up that much Momentum without Swap IMO. All the figures in your squad are very low HP which is why I like the Panaka Swap AND Bodyguard to keep low HP guys like Dash alive. Ultimately I think Dash and Skywalker is good, but ultimately it just isn't Tier 1. It can't compete with most Tempo controlled squads (Like say 150 Seps with Tyrannous) or even the basic Kyle Battlemaster squads. To much damage flying back at you IMO. The JWM is a nice feature but all it takes is one 8 point Juno to ruin your fun.
