Sooo, Jarael got a work out at the local SWM Tournament last night (yes, I'm talking about TaitaCon people...) and some thingees came up about Shockstaff.
Firstly: My Kel-Dor moved past Jarael instigating an AOO which Jarael took and made and then the player controlling Jarael inquired, 'does that mean that you roll for Shockstaff now?' Well, I said no because I was moving Kel-Dor so he was activated... but then that brought up the issue of: does he cease his move from that point? I wanted to move 'past' Jarael and shot some other dude (FotC...) but does my K-D stop dead and cease the rest of his movement if he fails shockstaff? Interesting.
Secondly: Jarael activated my Vader wi' a Shockstaff. So, now Vader is considered activated... does that mean he gets renewal because he has activated? Interesting.
Interesting.

no he can still ressume his movement he was already activated when u decided to move him.
Don't quote me but i do believe that vader would not get his force point.

I'm not sure about the movement, but there was alot of discussion awhile ago about renewal, and no, he doesn't get a force point, on the grounds that he was activated, rather than activated himself.

he moved you. activate him then take his turn. He was already activated so that means the shockstaff would be pointless. because he had already activated.

To note, both of these questions are covered in the FAQ under Activating Characters.
