Now, I don't want you guys to build squads *for* me (since I need to learn how to do that myself BigGrin ), just help me gain a little perspective on which of my pieces I should be building squads around. You can check my collection to get an idea of what I have.

I've already been running a Rep. 100-pt squad based around GOWK, but I'm not sure who my 100pt Sith, Imp, Rebel, and NR squads should revolve around.

Thanks for the help! ThumpUp

Sith: Malak + Shooters/Aprentices/Lords, Krayt can be so-so as well.
Imp: Lotta options, any of the good Vaders. MithThrawn + Vader SotJ is fun.
Rebels: Too many options, Force Push, Couple of decent Shooters and some tech..
NR: Either Kyle JBM or Mara Jade, Jedi.

To really make competitive squads you need to do one of these things...

* Run Mas Amedda
* Run Mouse Droids
* Make all of your main CEs rangeless
* Run a squad that doesn't rely on CEs at all

Based on your collection:

* Republic GOWK options look good - the Antarians plus GOWK are beasts.
* NR Mara/LukeFS/GenWedge is a great start
* Rebel push squad is a great option but hard to fit into 100 pts. And without Rieekan or Dodonna, your Rebels will be missing 2 of the main advantages of Rebels.
* Thrawn is the piece to build around out of your Imperials, but you don't have a big beatstick to swap around, and you'd need Mas to be able to swap across the board.
* Cade is a beast but needs some help to get off 4 shots without leaving himself vulnerable. Hard to fit the help into 100pts, but here are some options: Thrawn swapping, TBSV for GMA (needs Gen Wedge or Rieekan as well), or lift him around with the T1.

Yep, what you are saying is pretty much where I've been looking for the last week or so. I'm trying to buy Dodonna/Rieekan/Mas/Mousies, as I knew they were necessary for competitive squads. They're expensive though, and I'm a poor college student, so it might take a while! BigGrin

And you read my mind about Mara Jade/Gen. Wedge for a 100 squad! Here's one I came up with. I wanted to throw two Antarian Rangers in there but miscalculated the points, thus had to settle for an Uggie and a Felucian. Input appreciated!

Dodonna is cheap

You would want an Ugnaught Demolitionist in there anyway. A Felucian with evade/parry has a chance to waste the opponent's time on multiple attacks. Good squad.

You may be a piece short (Uggie or Mouse) of making them work but a couple of ideas:
Sith: Lumiya/Jarael/Twi'lekBSVigo and take advantage of the GMA with a big reach and triple attacker.
NR: Wedge/Mara/Kyp or Guardian for Mobile Twin attackers.
Imp: I think Thrawn and Jarael can get along well together. Swap her in to get off a triple attack which could also activate the Opporunist bonus at the same time.
