No. You can't draw the LOS beyond that 90 degree angle.

to have line of sight, you draw a line from the attackers square to the defenders square, if you can do this without touching a wall, you have LOS, In the OP diagram this cannot be done

Yeah, the easy way to remember LOS is that you have to be able to draw the line from INSIDE the square, not just an edge or a corner. Sometimes, it might be a seriously tight line just inside the square, but it is INSIDE the 4 lines, nonetheless. In the original poster's diagram, the only way the line could be drawn at all would be from the very corner of the square, and that's not allowed.
And seriously, don't let people be jerks and force you to find where it says they can't do it that way. Both of you sit down with the LOS section of the rules together and look through it together. Make them show you where it says it IS legal.

Make them show you where it says it IS legal. At my LGS we use Name Tag or KeyChain stretchers, the things that when you pull the one part it comes out in a string & to get it back in you just push the button on the base for LOS. They work pretty good. As for this, you can lean around corners but you cant lean around corners to shoot behind the wall, If something was lined up with the wall like so. X= Wall O = Character O xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxO you would ba able to lean around a corner to shoot but to shoot around the corner like this O xxxxxxxxx O you wouldnt because the line for LOS would go through the wall. When you think about LOS it is one of the rules that more look into Logic than others. Basically when you do your line for LOS its obvious that you cant shoot through a wall, take any part of the square you fig is on & draw the line to be able to see anyone of your opponents squares without any default. If its going through walls than obviously you cant see the figure. But i would really encourage people to get them Keychain stretchers for your LOS in the game, they are cheap & they work so good.

the "name tag" or "keychain stretchers" that Darth Percocet mentions are GREAT for a line of sight "tool". My buddy and I use 'em. I highly recommend getting one.

Hope i dont get in trouble for posting this here, but since the question was answered, heres the things i was talking about for LOS.. They work good, tells you weither or not you have LOS, even shows you if they have cover or not, they are pinpoint accurate..
