Okay, so this has probably been answered but I could not find it in the first 13 pages of rules SOO... If my GOWK is adjacent to a kel dor bounty hunter that is three squares away from an AT-ST, could I force push the Kel Dor into the AT-ST and do 40 damage to it? I ask because in a recent game that is what I did, and I based that on the fact that I would think that according to what happens first-Kel Dor is pushed than takes damage, then is defeated, then self-destructs. Am I right or did I pull a fast one on my brother?Confused

Damage from the push is resolved before the character is pushed. So the Kel Dor would blow up next to GOWK, not the AT-ST.
BTW I wouldn't call it "pulling a fast one" I'd call it "a learning experience" (man I've had alot of those)

Wouldn't the acting player get to choose the order that the push and damage get applied in? Reading the power here is says damage and push which should mean exactly the same thing as push and damage. If it said damage THEN push there would be no question about the order but as I read it things could happen in either order.

You can find a detailed account of how everything occurring in a turn is resolved in the latest version of the FAQ. Go to the WOTC site and click on 'Rules' on the left. Then click on 'FAQ' and it is under 'Resolving Effects'. In this case, damage is applied in step 12 and the character is removed in step 14, one step before he would have been moved. Note that not all encounters will use every single step; this list was created to resolve every possible situation.

No, as the damage and push effects as they are not simultaneous. This is covered in the faq.
