I have had this question for some time, how does targeting really work? In the rules it doesn't say that you have to be within sight for it to work, so my question is do you have to be able to see the target for you to lower his defense by 4. Or can i put r4 in a closed off room and have him target people the whole game without them being within sight? Thanks

Here is the Definition of Target from the rule book.. "Line of site and cover are determined by by drawing lines to the target's space. A square cannot be the target".

The Targeting special ability says "the target enemy"

The R-4 must have Line of site to the enemy.

Targetting follows the standard targetting rules. Pretty much, if it says "target" it follows the standard targetting rules found in the rulebook, which include LOS.
