Hey, I'll be headed to my first tournament next week, and was thinking of running a 200-point NR squad. This is the base of the squad, and I need help with filling out the rest (with the obligatory door control, etc.):
--Tourney Squad 1!-- 45 Mara Jade, Jedi 38 Kol Skywalker 25 Leia Skywalker, Jedi Knight 23 General Wedge Antilles 9 General Dodonna
(140pts. 5 activations)

Maybe a Mouse Droid or two to extend Leia's CE, an R7 for door control, and maybe a cheap shooter or two.

(200pts. 12 activations)

Nice, I'd take out the Czerka though sence I dont think putting the TBSV out in the open is a good idea, you should add another Uggie and Luke Force Spirit.

Not a bad option, though Mara should have enough FPs with Leia's free rerolls. Or an Uggie and a Rodian Raider (GMA triple to help clear away uggs and brutes). Or maybe a Camasi Noble (mobile cover for Mara) and another R7. Double override is always good for frustrating an opponent.

You know one of the best pieces to run with that Leia/Wedge is the Vong Ossus Guardian. 26 points but you get to evade AND save on your crab armor 6. If they have Jedi then you just run up, twin them, and there's very little they can do about it.
I also like to throw Jag and 2 cloud car pilots in there. With Mobile/Evade they become great assets.
That would be 52 points right there with 8 to spare if you used them all. Ossus, Jag, Cloud pilot x2= 4 more activations. You'll just find that Leia sucks at attacking with her 9. I'm not saying to take her out, cause her CE is very very helpful. Always nice to twin with Vong when they can't lightsaber block, plus you can do razor bug if needs be from a distance.

I'd second the Vong Ossus Guardian as working very well with Wedge and Leia. I don't know if the TBSV is worth using when the only piece that benefits from it is Kol because you don't have other followers (ie. Liea doesn't count) with multiple attacks.

(200pts. 12 activations) This is just my opinion so take it as that. No need for the vigo, Kol can do 30 on the move with precition, or 60 with double which he wont need to move to do that anyway. Czerka is for vigo/ranger i presume so she isnt needed if you drop her. Leia im not sold on either you squad is built on evade till mara/kol can base and kill things i really think a good secondary attacker would be better in her spot. Kyp/OG/Dash and Jag. Ranger is ok he's mainly a fodder killer with his +11 attack i think for a shooter your best bet is dash and jagged. Jag for cleaning up uggies and dash for putting the hurt on from range. Sticking with your original idea (Mara/Kol) id say this 45 Mara jedi 38 Kol 28 Dash, RS 26 Kyp 23 Wedge 12 Ranger 10 Jagged 9 Dodonna (if you think you need him, i would go R7 but thats just me) 8 R7 9 x3 uggies Your balenced with maras cunning to dash's opportunist everyone save dodonna and jag get evade. Kyp brings you more direct damage posibilities then the OG and is better vs non-jedi so i recommend him. Mara/Kol is a great 1-2 the best way to run it is stick kol on someone and have mara within 6 of some thing you want dead at init. You win mara can kill something, you lose they got to run past kol and take 30 damage to get to mara and your other support. Hope that helps have fun at your tourney! David

The reason why you go with the Ossus Guardian instead of Kyp is because all your other pieces there are already great against non-Jedi. Kol, Mara, and Dash will struggle against other Jedi, especially if they have LS Duelist or something like that. Putting in the Vong Ossus Guardian gives you a serious deterrent for other Jedi to get close to you. Plus, the Mobile Razor Bug is awesome for taking out opposing Mouse Droids/Ugos, especially if your opponent has Mobile as well.
I definitely like the squad Weeks posted, but I would definitely run the OG instead of Kyp. I might go with more activations instead of the Ranger as well.
Personally, I've found that it's better to advance carefully and not let my pieces be shot at all, rather than depending on Leia's CE, so I rarely play her.

I don't think your original squad is too bad. The thing about Leia and the TBSV is they aren't only good for their CEs. TBSV is a good shooter in his own right, and then with twin he can dish out a potential 60 damage at +13 attack, and let Kol do 60 damage on the move. That ain't half bad for 18 + the 13 for the czerka. Then Leia has a couple of nifty SAs, especially force sense to help out against super and regular stealth. If one were to run a team with dash, force sense helps, especially with characters like Cad. Lightsaber throw 2 ain't half bad either.
Now, I know you don't have Dash, but switching out the TBSV and czerka for an OG isn't a bad idea, except that makes you decidedly melee heavy team. Not a bad deal, I would just reccomend leaving leia in there to help their suvivability in approach.
just my two cents

This is what I played at a tournament and went 3-0 Mara Jade, Jedi Kol Skywalker Leia Jedi Knight Gen Wedge Cade Skywalker, Padawan TBSV Luke Force Spirit Gen. Dodonna 2 Mouse Droids 2 Uggies This is a hard hitting melee squad with some shooting capabilities. Even though the TBSV only helps Kol, GM still comes into play a lot. Kol can survive for a very long time with Cade and Evade/Lightsaber Block. This is my favorite rendition of the squad.

Definitely agree with keeping Leia in. Force sense can come in very handy and LST is not bad also.
This is what i'd run:
--Tourney Help-- 45 Mara Jade, Jedi 38 Kol Skywalker 25 Leia Skywalker, Jedi Knight 24 Exceptional Jedi Apprentice 23 General Wedge Antilles 24 Antarian Ranger x2 8 R7 Astromech Droid 6 Mouse Droid x2 6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2
(199pts. 12 activations)
I found the rangers for 12 pts are great shooter support and the jedi apprentice is worth is points with force push.
And this is my NR melee heavy squad :P --Kol's pet unleashed-- 52 Felucian Warrior on Rancor 38 Kol Skywalker 25 Leia Skywalker, Jedi Knight 23 General Wedge Antilles 18 Twi'lek Black Sun Vigo 24 Antarian Ranger x2 8 R7 Astromech Droid 6 Mouse Droid x2 6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2
(200pts. 12 activations)

Heres 2 squads i've had success with alot, the first im undefeated in all my LGS tourney's, its mainly melee but you'll see what i mean & the other one i been using since JA & only lost twice with it, each squad i played around 20 times a piece..2 of my favorite squads.
--Masters Of The Force-- 48 Shado Vao 38 Kol Skywalker 25 Leia Skywalker, Jedi Knight 23 General Wedge Antilles 18 Twi'lek Black Sun Vigo 15 Lobot, Computer Liaison Officer 12 Antarian Ranger 9 General Dodonna 9 Mouse Droid x3 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist
Preferred Reserves: (Lobot, CLO) 23 Jarael (Lobot, CLO) 3 Mouse Droid (Lobot, CLO) 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist
(200pts. 12 activations)
Kol & Shado are the focus points, Both Have MOTF2, & GMA, Kol via Twi Vigo, Both Can Reroll Evades or whatever, & if missed MOTF2, when you move in to attack you can LS Precision both attacks w/ each, or move in Attack once with LS Precision & move out with block for the AOO, had alot of success with this one.
This one is my favorite NR i ever built, might be out dated now but still holds its own just reently one 4 games on Vassal with this.
--Double Save Rolls! Why Not?-- 45 Mara Jade, Jedi 28 Dash Rendar, Renegade Smuggler 26 Yuuzhan Vong Ossus Guardian 25 Leia Skywalker, Jedi Knight 23 General Wedge Antilles 15 Lobot, Computer Liaison Officer 10 Jagged Fel 10 Luke Skywalker, Force Spirit 9 General Dodonna 6 Mouse Droid x2 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist
Preferred Reserves: (Lobot, CLO) 18 Twi'lek Black Sun Vigo (Lobot, CLO) 6 Mouse Droid x2 (Lobot, CLO) 6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2
(200pts. 12 activations)
Mara Jade is a beast as usual, Jagged is a must with Dash, & Leia is a must now in NR squads. Now, the Ossus Guard can reroll evades, when failed he can Roll for Crab Armor & is failed reroll it.
Also a good tip in Mara Jade squads i like to use is Jaina Solo & Han RH, its a bit costly but when you are able to get Cunning & Atvantageous Attack (Han RH) with mara jedi, she does 40 damage a pop on LSA's...
Hope you like it, & everyone when you get a chance please comment on these for me they are under my squads pages thanx.

I'm a big fan of having stealth, so how about a Camaasi noble? Basically you can use him to give Mara Jade cover board wide.

Obviously be weary of Snipers, but you don't see that all too often. I love using Nobles for nerfing non-GMA and forcing them to use only 1 attack (or put them in such a position where they can't even get to the main target).
