The rules :
7 figs - 7 different factions - 2 phases after init- no reserves/reinforcements - 200pts.
One of my lgs isn't into dci, so here's a silly tourney they came up with.

(198pts. 7 activations)

Map of choice is rattakk arena. Easily crossable, cover, only 1 door. GMA playground.

Thrawn gives me swap, opp, and control of the init (so boba/han get their quad attk/120 dmg in. Which is of major importance with 2 acts at the first of the round)

Mando scout is there for the 14 square cloaked movement/swapping and can quad for 80 with opp.

Boba will base all threats and gun them down at +18 for 30x4, due to intuition/swapping.

Han nerfs opposing thrawns and shoots at +14 for 30x4. Both with accurate to go after pesky reeikans, should he become exposed.

I'd say door control would be important here so an Override unit can be especially helpful. Also, with the low activations, It might be a good idea to team up Thrawn with one of the non-imperial Tempo control pieces (San, Mar Tuuk, or Dodonna).

Personally, If I was in that tournament, I'd field:

Boba Fett, Mercenary Commander
Jedi Exile
Captain Rex
Leia Skywalker, Jedi Knight
General Rieekan
Darth Sidious, Hologram
R7 Astromech

Rex and Boba are the primary damage dealers who do significant damage tanks to the exile, and can stay alive better because of the Evade/free save reroll/Force points combo. The Exile and Leia can provide interference should the enemy get close. Leia's Force Sense can also come in handy if the opposition has Stealth. The R7 provides door control and can take a hit so your opponent can't pick it off as easily.

Also another great piece for your team is the imperial officer grants a free attack (twin). Not bad for 14 points. With low activations you'll def. need door control.

The possibilities of the endless combinations, makes my head explode!

The Imperial Officer's CE only applies to non-unique followers.

Though if he's using Thrawn, It'd have to be a Bothan Noble or an Aerial Clone Trooper Captain instead.

Also, the Imperial Officer's CE only affects non-uniques.

Okay - here's an entry. Only two and a half beatsticks, but Darth Bane will be able to kill just about anything in one activation. With Assault/Twin/Rage he can deal out 200 damage at +20 atk to force users. And Draay will be all but untouchable with evade/deflect/block/motf 2/free rerolls on everything.

With evade/free rerolls for everyone and Draay in front shooters will have a rough time. (That's up to 5 rerolls on a single shot: evade/free-reroll/deflect/free-reroll/fprr.)
