Bringing in Rapport with Reserves/Reinforcements Options

I know that your squad needs to be legal when revealed and thus bring Rapport (ok Gha Nachkt to be specific) in later does reduce those costs but just when does Rapport kick in? I have an old squad with Lobot and Wat Tambor (original versions of each) and was wondering if I can bring in GN with Lobot and have Rapport kick in for the rest of Lobot's Reinforcements and all of Wat's. I believe I can but if not it would be good to know.

Rapport is applied once a piece is part of your squad. I would say that since the two Reinforcements are picked simultaneously, you would get his Rapport with Wat's Reinforcements.

I would expect the Rapport NOT to apply to pieces already in your squad, correct? Those pieces remain at full cost for scoring. Only the new pieces are discounted by Rapport.

Correct, you cannot retroprice minis. Same goes if you bring in Zuckuss (from BH) and had 4-LOM in the squad, you could fit an Uggie into the original squad with the extra 1 point you get off 4-LOM.

It doesn't affect squad building, but the Rapport would still take effect in terms of cost and victory conditions.

So if you have 5 Battle Droids in a squad and bring in Gha Nackht the value for killing each goes from 4 points down to 3 points. Am I mistaken to believe that if I brought in four Rocket Droids at 5 points each due to Gha Nachkt and then Gha bites it those droids I only paid 5 points for are now worth 6 points when killed?
