I never call my ladyfriends "chick"

Just...ugh

Usually "milady" or "cyar'ika"

Thought this reminds me of a Jhonen Vasquez comic, with the pun involving a Human and Chicken and Aliens and the punchline being "and that, kids, is how I met your mother"

It's in Squee's Wonderful Big Book of Terrible Things or something like that

How can you all tell if they're hot? It's a still photo. Maybe they're chilly. Maybe he took a picture of them from inside a walk-in freezer. Just saying. Squelchie..., love ya bro, but I'm still sittin' on the skeptic's fence for this one.

But really though, they're adorable. Really flippin adorable. It's just a shame that they have to grow up and get all ugly and stuff. But I guess that's okay. They're punishment for maturing into ugly flightless birds is my glorious entree!!! (look, they're cordon bleu's just waiting to happen)

Laugh If the heating lamp isn't set right they will be extra crispy too soon! Scared There is a 10% chance that some of them are male's. But if they are, I'm more of an "Original recipe" guy! ThumbsUp

Oh their Hot dude, trust me. It's 100 degrees in there. Do you need a picture of the heating lamp too bro? Flapper I'll try to get one with the heat waves rolling off the boxes for ya. BigGrin

Oh BTW, some of them will lay green egg's. So now Squelchy can have "Green Egg's and Ham!" LOL

LaughLOL

Well we bought another 10 chicks, so that brought it up to 30. Unfortunately we lost 4 of the new ones. Sad Stuff happens I guess. Sometimes they don't make it. But the rest are doing really well. I have a couple more pic's of them plus a couple of the duckling's. When they are older they can be together. But at this age they have to be separate or the chicks can hurt or kill the ducks. My Dad has done this several times before so he's teaching me how to raise them. It's a lot of fun! My buddies at school started calling me "Farmer John!" RollEyes

In the past we've raised cow's, sheep, rabbit's, a different breed of duck, and pig's. Homemade BLT's rule!!! ThumpUp We didn't eat the sheep or the duck's though.
