Here's the Han that I think we should have gotten. Please let me know what you think.

Han Solo, Renegade Smuggler

Faction: Fringe
Cost 38
HP: 80
Def: 19
Att: 9
Dam: 20

Special Abilities
Unique
Pilot
Accurate Shot
(Can attack an enemy with cover even if it's not the nearest enemy)
Bravado (+4 Attack and +20 Damage against an adjacent enemy with a higher point cost)
Cunning Attack (+4 Attack and +10 Damage against an enemy who has not activated this round)
Evade (When hit by an attack from a nonadjacent enemy, this character takes no damage with a save of 11)
Longshot 10 (+4 Attack and +10 Damage when this character is at half Hit Points or less)
Quick Draw (Whenever this character is attacked by an enemy within 6 squares, he rolls a save of 11. On a success, he may make an immediate attack against that attacker)
Rapport (A character whose name contains Chewbacca costs 1 less when in the same squad as this character
Synergy (+4 Attack and +4 Defense while an allied character whose name contains Chewbacca is within 6 squares

This is a high 50s point character, if you ask me.

Way Way undercosted, especially with no CE, subject to so many more things, on top of his massive damage output

OK, I agree. I went too far RollEyes

Let's drop Cunning and see what it's like:

Han Solo, Renegade Smuggler

Faction:
Fringe
Cost 38
HP: 80
Def: 16
Att: 9
Dam: 20

Special Abilities
Unique
Pilot
Accurate Shot
(Can attack an enemy with cover even if it's not the nearest enemy)
Bravado (+4 Attack and +20 Damage against an adjacent enemy with a higher point cost)
Evade (When hit by an attack from a nonadjacent enemy, this character takes no damage with a save of 11)
Longshot 10 (+4 Attack and +10 Damage when this character is at half Hit Points or less)
Quick Draw (Whenever this character is attacked by a non-adjacent enemy within 6 squares, he rolls a save of 11. On a success, he may make an immediate attack against that attacker)
Rapport (A character whose name contains Chewbacca costs 1 less when in the same squad as this character

Commander EffectAllied characters within 6 squares whose name includes Chewbacca gain Protective +20

I agree that he has the *potential* to deal tons of damage, but those boosts are quite situational. Bravado only works if he's based by something bigger, and Longshot only if he's 40hp or less. So its a potential +17 for 50 attack, but what are the odds he'll actually get that off?

Changing Quick Draw to a non-adjacent enemy makes it a little less abusable IMO. I'm trying to get to the essence of the character. I added a CE limited to just Chewie to limit Han's synergy with others. Thoughts?

I think Double or Twin would stick well with Han, but raise his cost to something from mid-40's to mid-50's

Your stats are moving in the right direction. However, reconsider the Han we did get in MotF. I think you will realize he is much better than he appears at first glance. I'm not saying WotC gave us what we wanted or expected, but they did give us a solid piece.

The Han we got is actually quite good, at release we had open faction rules and I combined him with Plo Koon for some serious damage.
