So I've got Regionals on Saturday, and I'm considering a few different squad builds. These are the two NR iterations I'm toying with: --Regionals 1-- 45 Mara Jade, Jedi 38 Kol Skywalker 29 Ganner Rhysode 25 Leia Skywalker, Jedi Knight 9 General Dodonna (146pts. 5 activations) --Regionals 2-- 54 Kyle Katarn, Jedi Battlemaster 38 Kol Skywalker 29 Ganner Rhysode 25 Leia Skywalker, Jedi Knight 9 General Dodonna (155pts. 5 activations) So what do you think I should flesh the squads out with, and which one do you think is fundamentally better? I know that they're decidedly melee-heavy, so that might be something to consider when giving suggestions. Thanks for the help as I try to decide what I'll run!

No, it's 200 points, as it's for Regionals. These are just the bases of the squads I'd like to try.

If it were me, I would add Dash and Jag to both squads. The range on the lob is stellar.

Do you have Wedge you can put in there? Leia has a lot more re-rolls if people are evading. No Ganner in this one, but I really like this NR build: http://yqs243-site0001.maxesp.net/Squads/View.aspx?ID=78775

I've got Jag and Wedge, but don't have Dash, so unfortunately that's not an option. I thought about putting Wedge in there too, but then it becomes a pricey, low-activation squad.

--NR Flying Beats-- 54 Kyle Katarn, Jedi Battlemaster 38 Kol Skywalker 29 Ganner Rhysode 25 Leia Skywalker, Jedi Knight 23 General Wedge Antilles 9 General Dodonna 16 R7 Astromech Droid x2 3 Mouse Droid 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist
(200pts. 10 activations) Here's an attempt building on your Kyle option above. Wedge/Leia/rerolls makes it really hard to hit these guys with a blaster, which is good since they're all melee. Everyone has range-6 attacks available for when the enemy closes in - two FP2, Grenades, Lightning, LS Throw from Leia. Plus Disruptive means that a close range fight should be in your favor.

I mean anytime you use a NR build with no CE figures, IMO you go wedge, i think for his pt cost he more than makes up for what he does. Kyle & Kol become so hard to hit. You get Wedge in here w/ a Vigo & i dont think you got mouse droids so keep the vigo i would say near Kyle. Basically you could GMA & tripple someone & then levitate him out if need be. I like the Ganner/Kyle combo, looks good. But would say deff put wedge in here. He's not too bad of a shooter plus he got accurate & if your making some good saves on a game w/ leia letting him reroll avode defeat you could get your opponent pretty mad haha...

You have to go Ganner,Mara,Dod. I dont think wedge is the way to go
Then your pretty open to what you like to play Han GH is a killer vs Thrawn Kyle BM even Kyle IC is not a bad mini if you think your goign to see a lot of melee Anakin Solo is a great back up mini Dash/Jag Dengar HK Kyp Zuckuss BH shado is great vs the lancer but he is still not enough Even Cad Bane I guess Jaina and a Han smugger can even work you just have to use han like you did before rieekan was around. Jaina/Han RH MTB could work with Mara I guess. it a one trick pony but it could work. Leia JA is not bad with throw 2 Lobot UH is great with trying to custom build. Kol
You can go Kyle BM,wedge,Ganner,Mara,TBSV
If you want to get in some games on vassal ill work with you

Regionals was yesterday, and this was the squad I went with:
45 Mara Jade, Jedi 38 Kol Skywalker 35 Zuckuss, Bounty Hunter 29 Ganner Rhysode 23 General Wedge Antilles 9 General Dodonna 8 R7 Astromech Droid 6 Mouse Droid x2 6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2
199 points, 11 activations.
I went 2-3 with this squad, which is a testament to how useful it was, since I'm a pretty new player. If I had thought about the squad construction more, I wouldn't have used 2 Mouse Droids. I used them as interference / mobile cover, but both they and the Ugnaughts didn't do too much since I usually engaged my opponent pretty quick.
Otherwise, Mara Jade was definitely able to do her thing. In one match, after a Crit from Zuckuss knocked Kyle JBM down to 80, I proceeded to roll three 17s in a row with Mara and knock him out. She also put 120 on Vader Sith Apprentice (and was subsequently gunned down by 501st stormies, but it's all good, I won that match, lol). Kol didn't do a whole ton, and that was my fault for not running him up fast enough. Ganner was his usual awesome self, levitating Mara for kill shots, and holding his own against Accurate Shooters with his Evade from Wedge. I really like this squad!

with that squad I would drop Kol only if you think the lancer will be seen for shado. Drop Wedge. I would work in Dash/Jag maybe or kyp then. O Jarael is not a bad one too since she can stay up front

Yeah we didn't see any Lancer at Regionals, which had me breathing a sigh of relief. And I gotta be honest, Wedge saved my bacon in a lot of matces. Ganner evaded 160 damage in a single match, and I was seriously lucky with my Evade rolls all day. Also, I don't have Dash so I couldn't work him in there.
