It's this Saturday people. It took the regionals a while to reach the west coast but they're finally here. Be there, or be square!

Holy smokes Batman! I didn't even know there was an event for CA. Guess that's what I get for not checking the schedules! ...and of course I just checked the location. Only 6-1/2 hrs away.

Buy a super big gulp and adult diapers--you'll be there before you know it. Alternately, PM Mel and see if he'll pack you in his luggage for the flight up.

Hey Jason, I only pack people in my luggage that let me win. Besides, Wookiees tend to tear people's arms out of their sockets if they don't win:) "Imyurhuckaberry", I live in the LA area and since I'm staying the night on Sat. in Sacramento, you're in luck, I just happened to be bringing my suitcase. I will remember to "never tell you the odds". Looking forward to seeing you guys on Sat!

PS "Let the Wookiee win." That's funny. My name also happens to be Jason. And I live up in Chatsworth. Do you play at an LGS? I know Game Empire over in Pasadena use to play on Thursday nights, but not sure if they still do. I have yet to play since moving out here last November...

Jason from Chatsworth! I play Monday nights in Torrance (6:30-11:00pm), the 3rd Sat every month in Lakewood (6:00-11:00pm), and the 4th Sat. every month in Studio City (6:30-10:00pm). Give me your email address and I will add you to our group's email list. Hope to see you at one or all of our SWM gatherings. May the Force be with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of all those the Studio City one is pretty close. Might have to check that out one of these days. Email: jasonlovesandria@gmail.comI might even have another guy interested. I am in the process of teaching him the game. Plus my wife plays.

Good news, my brother and Ryan who were both maybe's are going. And Ryan's friend is a maybe. So the bay area has gone from 2 (me and Tom) to 4-5 making the trip.

That's awesome. Is there an estimate as to how many might be there? My wife and son are getting over colds right now. If they are better by tomorrow night, we might just hop in the car and brave that 6+ hr drive. (I have no idea what I will play, nor have I tested any squads in almost a year...but it's SWM!)

Greg said he had six or seven confirmed. I assume that's all from locals, and maybe the Reno guys who he's in close contact with (assuming they're still playing.) So if you add Mel and 4-5 from Bay Area we're looking at 10-12 confirmed. We had 22 last year which was a surprise. We were only expecting about 16. I'm not expecting Curtis (defending champ!) and Darcy to make the 16 hour drive down from Canada again though.

One of the guys from my LGS is coming in my luggage , ( he's flying in also ) so that's 2 from LA! Sounds like it will be a decent turnout. Looking forward to seeing you guys on Sat! May the Force be with us all!!!!!!!!!!!!! MC

Sadly I must pass up Regionals again this year. My wife and baby are sick with colds and there's no way I'm going to subject them to the drive. Partly my fault for not checking to see if there was a Regional in CA this year until recently! Good luck guys. It would have been fun to play, but more fun to meet you all me thinks. Please someone post the results so we can see how it went.
