I still have over a month till the Kokomo regional, but have not decided on a squad. Here are a few options. I am mostly looking for something that I know how to play. I care less about winning the regional, than I do about making a lot of stupid mistakes. I want to play something tough but simple to use. I will take any suggestions on which to play or how to make one of them better.

Squad #1
--Rebel 200 Possible Regional--
28 Dash Rendar, Renegade Smuggler
27 Han Solo, Smuggler
27 Luke Skywalker, Rebel Commando
18 Rebel Commando Strike Leader
48 Elite Rebel Commando x3
16 General Crix Madine
14 General Rieekan
7 Leia Organa, Senator
9 Mouse Droid x3
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

(200pts. 15 activations)

Squad #2
--Freedon's Vigos--
55 Freedon Nadd
35 Zuckuss, Bounty Hunter
54 Twi'lek Black Sun Vigo x3
26 Czerka Scientist x2
13 Jawa Scavenger
8 R7 Astromech Droid
6 Mouse Droid x2
3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

(200pts. 12 activations)

Squad #3
--Republic Wookies--
55 General Obi-Wan Kenobi
38 Merumeru
56 Wookiee Freedom Fighter x4
26 Czerka Scientist x2
9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid
9 Rodian Brute x3
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

(199pts. 14 activations)

Squad #1 - I have played squads like this a lot. I had 4 of the ERC, but took one out and Princess Leia to make room for Dash. Pretty straight forward squad.

Squad #2 - I have only playtested once. Didn't do so well because Nadd was killed by Mara Jade, Jedi real fast. I wouldn't make that mistake again. I was thinking about taking out Zuckuss and adding Dash for more oppotunist attacks and Sidious hologram for force point rerolls.

Squad #3 - An idea that I came up with today. Probably the most fragile of the group. Gwok maybe helps the wookies survive longer and combined with Merumeru these guys will be charging for +19 and 30 dmg a hit. I wsa thinking about dropping Merumeru and adding Yurlaren, Clone Com. Gree and a 3/4pt piece. I get two more activations and now the wookies have opportunist and would be attacking still +19 for 40 dmg a hit.

i think you should reinstitute Leia into the 1st build. She not only gives you that 50 dmg hit with Han but she also gives the ERCs more power.
I don't think you can really leave her out. I would take organa and 1 ERC for PL and a mouse.

#2 looks awefully weak. BDGd instead of the scavenger?

#3, disruptive will hurt it and your Czerkas will be everyones (Yobucks) first target. ITs an interesting squad but its just a fun squad.

I would work Dengar HK over Dash in the first squad and work in P.Leia.
I dont like the Strike leader either drop him for leia.Drop to 2 ERC's. I would then add a r2 and Dod.I still like Ferus as a back up over Dash or Dengar but thats just me. I might even go down to one and use ferus and Dengar.

Ok, I took some suggestions and made a couple changes to squad #1. I dropped the Strike Leader and Leia, Senator and added Princess Leia and a Caamasi Noble in. I lose the superstealth but gain the caamasi for mobile cover and Leia's ability. I dont think I need Dodonna in there. I have 15 activations. With the combo of Han & Leia, I should be able to kill 1-2 pieces a round.

--Rebel 200 Possible Regional--
28 Dash Rendar, Renegade Smuggler
27 Han Solo, Smuggler
27 Luke Skywalker, Rebel Commando
20 Princess Leia
48 Elite Rebel Commando x3
16 General Crix Madine
14 General Rieekan
5 Caamasi Noble
9 Mouse Droid x3
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

(200pts. 15 activations)

28 Dash Rendar, Renegade Smuggler
27 Han Solo, Smuggler
27 Luke Skywalker, Rebel Commando
20 Princess Leia
48 Elite Rebel Commando x3
16 General Crix Madine
14 General Rieekan
9 General Dodonna
5 Camassi Noble
3 Mouse Droid
3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

It really depends on what you are comfortable with for the "dodonna or no dodonna" arguement.

One thing i will say is Princess Leia is the best rebel commander so id work her into anything i could, the Erc's become a force to be reckoned with with her. I like your balance for Cunning/Opp. I would say to get rid of dash though, here is why, you have a lot of guns already to kill fodder (which will be all dash really does for you). I think with all those guns your going to be wasting a lot of potiential for damage by erc's killing scrubs and dash only shooting at 10 with opp. Another thing is your going to need to be moving han/erc's around with the lobb so dash gets kind of stuck in the back. My recommendation is put in Ferus over Dash.

Here is why i say that. If you run across GOWK you will need to find a way to kill him and not waste your Han/Leia shots on doing that. Ferus can do that for you very well with his DT or Just Precition. Also you get a BG for Leia/Luke, Yobuck gets excited when he see's leia across the map cause he can both catch her and kill her in round 1. Ferus nets you 100 Extra HP for her and Luke (they are the center of your squad anyway so may as well keep them safe).

Other then that i like the build.

I totally agree that Ferus would probably do more for you than Dash. In this build, he is limited by his low attack (the only way to boost it higher than a +10 is with Leia), which would probably end up in him not dealing too much real damage over the course of the game. Of the 3, though, I would definitely go with the 1st.

Ok here is probably what i will end up using. I am not giving up on the other ideas though. My only concern is that I have never used Ferus before. I don't usually use another piece just to take damage for the other pieces. That dark temptation just scares the hell out of me. At least I have some time to play test it before the regionals get here.

That's very similar to what I played at Chicago last weekend. It's a very nice build overall and runs really good. You don't use Ferus just for his Bodyguarding. Sure, he can help Luke and Leia stay alive, but what you're really looking for, is that key point where you use Dark Temptation and lay down 80 damage on somebody.

Also, you may want to consider Obi-Wan FS in there somehow (probably have to drop an ERC to get him). I find I end up using Levitation almost every single round, and when I don't Levitate, it's usually because I'm attacking with Luke, and then the Mettle comes in really handy, especially if you're re-rolling a Cunning +20 attack, you really want those to stick.

This is very similar to what ended up winning the PA regional, but instead of 3 ERC, Ian played 2 ERC, Obi-Spirit and like 3 uggos. For me personally, I would 2nd Lobo and add in a spirit. My Lob squad had the Anakin-Spirit in it.

Yeah, I've actually been considering Ani-spirit just to give Ferus and Leia the Mettle as well on their attacks. Mettle on Leia's attacks would be really nice, and would be helpful for Ferus for when he's not using Dark Temptation or Precision. There were at least a few times in my games on Saturday where an extra +4 might've saved Ferus' bacon.

With my build, I can squeeze in Ani instead of Obi and still keep the same number of activations. The nice thing is, since Luke is oftentimes using Levitation, and Obi/Ani can move through walls, you don't really need Ani's increased Speed in order to keep up. I never had any problems with Luke not being within the 4 square range of Obi.
