Ok, so I know how the rapport ability works. I also know that if you defeat a "rapported" character you get the points with the adjusted score. Now, my question is, does this still happen if you kill the figure with rapport first.
Example: Gha Nachkt and Mouse Droids
I know that if you kill a Mousie it will be worth 2 points. If Gha is killed first though will the Mouse Droid then be worth 3 points?
Because they only cost less "when in the same squad". Once he's dead he's not really in the squad anymore.
Thanks for the help, was just something that came up during a match last night.

Rapport happens when you build the squad, so they remain that point cost, even if the rapport granting character dies.
So in short, once a mouse is 2 points, it remains 2 points

Technically, Gha Nachkt is still "in" the squad, he's just defeated. This is why if you have Lobot CLO and Boba Fett Enforcer in your squad, if Boba dies, and then you roll an 11 and get Reserves, you still can't bring in Boba Fett Young Mercenary as one of your Reserves. Yes, Boba is dead, but he is still technically "in" your squad, he's just in the 'defeated' column, and as such, you can't have two Boba's in your squad due to the Unique rule. So, the Rapport thing is sort of similar.
The more simple way to think of it is, you get how ever many victory points the pieces cost whenever you added them to the squad.
So, as an example, your squad started with Gha and some Mouse Droids. All of those Mouse Droids cost 2 points each. If Gha is killed, and then you roll an 11 for init and get Lobot's Reserves, any Mouse Droids you bring in at that point would cost the full 3 points. Yes, Gha is still in your squad, but because he's defeated, his ability would not be in effect for new pieces added to the squad.
Make sense? That's a good question, and one that can be tricky to remember in its full complexity. ;)

So, in your example, if you kill a new mouse you get 3 points, if you kill an old mouse you get 2?
