So I read in the DCI rules that characters with the Rigid SA lose Rigid.
However, I was just listening to a podcast and they mentioned that Huge characters now gain Stable Footing. Is this true? and if so, where was it announced? (I probably missed something along the way...)

No, this not a DCI legal change.

Actually, similar question... I heard this once and I'm not sure if its right... a huge piece, or large piece, 'squeezes' so that they can get around low objects or difficult terrain? What I mean is: if a large piece (2x2) wanted to get 12 squares away and half of it was completely clear and the other half was difficult terrain, it would then 'squeeze' past it and not incur a movement penalty, yes? Same for a 3x3 facing two rows free and one row of difficult terrain... is that right? Or did someone dream it?

IMO that's not correct. any part of a huge touching cover counts as x2 movement, and likewise provides cover...you have to take both, not one or the other =D

You can only squeeze through an area if the smaller area "path" is created by walls or pits. You cannot squeeze around characters, or to get around terrain that slows your movement. This is covered in the rulebook. This is not the place to discuss various strengths of a podcast.

Sorry...I believe they were discussing a league rule they use locally. I just happen to hear it while at work and not paying full attention thought they were discussing an actual change to the rules.

Nope, Huk, you didn't hear that wrong. That was my mistake. While discussing Stable Footing, I incorrectly said that applies to Huges. It does not. Sometimes in our league play, we will have specified events where Huges get it. But we weren't discussing league play. I just got confused. Huges lose Rigid in DCI play. Logically, I think they should also gain Stable Footing, but they don't. We will errata ourselves in the next episode. Thanks for pointing out our goof.

I was really hoping it was a real errata...but just making sure. We sort of used it as a house rule...but along with that we say that Huge characters do not gain cover from low objects. Thanks Tim for clarifying all that!
