i have a few more minis i want to add to my collection (mainly darth sion and boba merc) before i call it complete. i've been looking on ebay and i'm wondering if i should wait to get them in august (im willing to spend $16.50 each w/ shipping) or if i should still try to buy them now. what are the chances of the prices for minis being higher/lower when the game ends?

Prices should go down as time goes on. As to how much, no one really knows. And hell, some might increase (though I am not expecting Revan level prices) if the V sets are done well enough. I would say, set a price you are willing to pay, and if it pops up, grab it.

' Exactly - determine your max and keep trying it, eventually one will slip through or the prices will drop overall to meet your goal. You might also keep eyes open on some of the eBay lots - many people selling off full collections in chunks. They don't always list the VRs in the title so a simple search might not find them.

Best bet would be to try and get them now as people are dumping collections. As time goes on, people are unlikely to just up and sell a collection (even if they haven't played in awhile) as they might just hold onto them and display them in a diorama. Most people once they stop going to the boards and such just won't come back and will have a pile of SWM in their closet that just sits there. Prices probably will drop a little nore than they are now, but it will become harder and harder to find (even the cheap pieces) as more and more stuff sits unaccessable in people's closets.
Although if you are planning on going to GenCon you might be able to get some deals there (although the dealers might artificially try to inflate prices).
Just my 2 cents.

I don't have Carth, Malak DLotS, Sion, Baron Fel and a few others, and I am waiting to see how low the prices go before (maybe) trying to finish my entire collection.

Remember that this is Star Wars, and the mayority of the products of SW always have a plus, so I think that the prices will mantain and eventually goes high, especially the Unique minis of the main characters, or the higly wanted, so I recomend that obtain this kind of characters as soon as you can, greettings.
