Hi Folks! Weekly point formats for Monday tournaments TBA... see belowLocation: Castle Perilous Games & Books 207 W. Main Carbondale, IL 62901 (618) 529-5317 1-800-297-2160 ************************* Monday, June 7th: Fantastic Four Fantastic Four is a 200pt tournament much like Dynamic Duo is for 100pts.Special Rules: ~ Team must consist of 4 pieces coming to EXACTLY 200pts. ~ Faction restrictions DO apply. ~ Regular DCI rules apply. (For this, as we allowed it for DD, you CAN play Boba Fett, Bounty Hunter, but he will not be counted as having Disintegration.) ~ No gambit. ~ One activation per phase. Cost: $5 Begins: 6:30 pm ************************* Monday, June 14th: 150 points constructed DCI rules REBELS and IMPERIALS ONLY (+ Fringe) Cost: $5 Begins: 6:30 pm ************************* Monday, June 21st: Cost: $5 Begins: 6:30 pm disturbed1 wrote:Next Monday, June 21st, we will be playing a new format Im working on, so I hope you all enjoy it. It’s called Multi-Squad Monte. Thanks to those who are interested in playing this, lol.
Special stuff for the format:
~Each player brings 4 separate 100pt squads to the tournament. No figure with the same name, costing more than 5 points, may be in more than one squad. (So, you can have Luke’s Snowspeeder in one, and Luke, Hoth Pilot Unleashed in another, but you cant have the same Luke in more than 1 squad). This is to keep someone from showing up with one squad and saying that squad is their option 4 times.
~The squads do not have to be the same faction, but they can be. You may have a separate map choice for each map, if you choose, but you are not required to.
~Each squad may only be played once in the tournament.
Example for set-up:
Carl has squads A, B, C, and D. I have squads, W, X, Y, and Z.
Carl and I are paired for round 1. He reveals all four squads to me, and I reveal all four squads to him, including all map choices.
He secretly chooses which one he wants to play against me, and I do the same for what I want to play against him.
He chose A, and I chose X.
We reveal our choices (A and X). We roll for map (based on our map choices for those two particular squads), and play the round.
For round 2, Carl will have B, C, and D available for his choice, while I will have W, Y, and Z, which we will present to our respective opponents.
So round 1 you will have all four of your squads to choose from, round 2 you will have three, and round 3 you will have two to choose from.
-Seth
************************* Monday, June 28th:150 points - NEW REPUBLIC ERAQuote:Special rules: (DCI rules apply)
Only New Republic, Mandolorian, Yuuzhan Vong, Sith, and Imperial squads may be played.
Figures that count as Darth Vader or Emperor Palpatine may not be played.
The only Sith uniques that may be played are: Darths Caedeus, Krayt, Nihl, Talon, and Lumiya the Dark Lady.
ALL Mandalorian uniques are playable, else they be too limited on choices.
Cost: $5 Begins: 6:30 pm************************* The game goes on.... let's play!! - swine

Just wanted to shout out a congrats to Matt for the win in the fantastic four. I was also curious about what Matt and everyone played. I've been hearing about 2 felcors and someone playing GMLS. Sorry I didn't make it out, I had work a double and was bummed I couldn't make it.

I've totally forgotten what Matt J. was playing, and Matt M., Chas and Carl for that matter. Here is what I can remember: Seth - Revan, Sith Heavy Assault Droid x2, Iktotchi Tech Specialist (2-1) Bob M. - GMLS, Ganner, Mara, Blood Carver (?, ?, beat me) Me - Kyle Katarn Combat Instructor, Han GH, Felcor x2 (0-3) Michael G - Gen Windu, FlObi, Cad Bane, Mas (beat me and Seth, ?) Mike Miller - Darths Krayt and Bane, Genoharadan x2 (beat me, ?, ?) I need to be better about documenting the matches, but I always seem to be one of the last people finishing the round

Did they limit next Monday's format to specific sets or can you use any rebel and imperial piece? It is rebel and imperial pure faction format?

I played Darth Bane, Cad Bane, Darth Malalk, DlotSith, and a Crimson Nova Bounty Hunter.
Matt M. played Cad Bane, Kol Skywalker, Boba Fett Bounter Hunter, and Kyle Katarn, CI.
And Chaz played Captain Rex, Cad Bane, Flobi, and General Skywalker.
FF was a lot of fun. Hope we do it again sometime.

Congrats to Keith on winning tonight in the Rebs/Imps 150, playing Black and Blue. I had a ton of fun playing my Dactillon squad. Crits on Princess Leia and Arica. One-shot kills. I just might tweak it up for 200. It'll still suck, but it sure is fun. Vultures

Your build was my favorite of the night...I would love to see a 200 point version.
