I've picked Imperial Entanglements for a several reasons. It included the Mouse Droid which was a game changing figure. It also introduced a brand new Force power, Levitation, that has proven to be a nice addition to the game in terms of competitiveness and fun. I'm not as big fan of General Rieekan as I once was (I was originally very excited to play him until I realized that other people would be able to play him, too ), but he has had and continues to have a noticeable impact on the game. And, there were lots of other great and/or fun figures including the Twi'lek Black Sun Vigo, General Madine, Dash, R2, Lobot, and I even like to use the Jawa Scavenger from time to time. I also liked several things about Jedi Academy (especially Leia Skywalker, The Jedi Exile, Naga Shadow, Yuuzhan Vong Ossus Guardian, etc.) and Galaxy at War (R7, Cad Bane, etc.), but on balance I think Imperial Entanglements was the one I was most excited about before and after it came out (both in terms of the figures in the set and the fact that I'm a big fan of the original trilogy). And, sorry if this poll had been done before, but I don't recall seeing it (and couldn't figure out how to do a search), and was interested in hearing wat folks had to say.

Dark Times was my choice because of all the innovative special abilities and CEs that came with it. I love the sculpts on certain figures, like Kota's Militia, and it gave us my new most-used piece, the Rodian Brute.

I went for Dark Times. The OT aside, it is my favourite Star Wars era, so I loved getting the minis to go with it. Then the addition of Kir Kanos, one of my all time favourite SW Characters was the cherry on top.

My favorite right now would have to be Galaxy at war. Reasons are because it breathed new life into the seps with General Whorm Loathsome, Admiral Yularen gave a huge boost to republic shooter squads, R7 gave Fringe cheap access to Overide, and there are other fun characters to use like General Skywalker, Flying Rex, FLobi, Cad Bane, Senate Commando's.

For some reason, I still love buying Dark Times boosters. I really like the U/C in that set.

I had to go with IE for a couple of reasons.
It came out at a time I was re-thinking my desire for the game. The pieces in it(I love the original trilogy) are right up my ally. Money was more tight at the time due to kids tuition so it was the first set I could not order up several cases. I felt more satification completing my set on a shoestring budget via individual boosters and trading.

When getting into the game I bought two IE boosters to start with. I remember thinking I had gotten screwed when i pulled 2 mice - little did I know...
I rarely play without one IE piece creeping in, the fringe ones are awsome and so are all the rest. I also liked the fact that it is the one which goes back to basics with rebel troopers and stormtrooper and scout troopers. Also, the shock trooper is awesome!
So, in case you didn't realise, I voted for IE.

Each of the sets have a few pieces that have had an impact on the game in general. I chose IE for two reasons though. I like the time period the most and the C/UC are all great from that set.

I picked GaW. It introduced the R7, which made some factions more powerful, especially Seps and Vong. It also introduced Flobi, a new cody, and clone troopers with repeating blasters, which made several new possibilities for republic squads.

I went with J.A. because of the awesome sith and new republic pieces. The one question I have is why do people on this poll like Dark Times? I personally thought it was a terrible set.

I say Jedi Academy because it was the set that brought me back to SWM's after a 1 1/2 year lay off. I was burnt out on Clone Wars material and figure rehashes, but Jedi Academy brought some new stuff out. I can see how Imperial Entanglements leads, it was definitely the biggest game changer set with the new CE's.

I gotta go Jedi Academy with IE coming in a close second. Entanglements had some wicked cool pieces (Ossus Guardians...one of the best NR pieces EVER) and the Old Republic got the Battlemaster, Exile, Vodo, and the Crusader. I love OR and that was a super win. I don't think I could dislike ANY of the 40 piece sets. Every one of them had something for different factions to run with. Can't hate Dark Times, it was way cool.

Jedi Academy baby! Got to admire all the nice pieces that came out. Kol, Leia, Younglings, Antarian Rangers, etc. I also liked the Force Power "Essence of Life" that made an entry; gave another way for people to get out of the "Big D". My favorite piece, however, was the Jedi Battlemaster. When compared to the Jedi Weapon Master (which is still a good figure), he's a bargain.
Sincerely, Jester007

I went with Jedi Academy, although it did not have Jaina Sword of the Jedi , it still had many a good piece for all the factions.

I personally thought it was a terrible set. Dark Times has more of an emotional attachment for me. It was the first case I ever bought. I love Kir Kanos. Master K'Kruhk is also one of my favourite SW universe characters, so it was nice to have a cheaper more playable version of him. I like putting him with General Skywalker. The Rodian Brute was also a brilliant addition to the game. The Jedi Hunter droid was also a massive bonus for the seperatists. The bounty hunters are also all totally awesome (apart from Boushh). Admitedly the set was not game changing, but I still think it is brilliant.
